The numbers looked familiar to me, sure I've read them on my current BB. But at that price I thought it was worth a punt on the off chance...
Should say on your BB though.
Edit: Just checked and what do you know? It won't fit my bike! Ah well. Anyone after a Tiagra BB?bails87 wrote:suzyb wrote:How can you tell if the Tiagra BB will fit. I need a new one as well but not sure if it will fit my Giant.
Do you have a Shimano external BB at the moment?
If so, it'll fit.0 -
Aha! The internet lied to me, I can use it!Ribble Audax - FCN 5
Dedacciai Pista - FCN 30 -
Joelsim wrote:Sketchley wrote:Sorry missed that earlier they do have the 15 at £20. But it isn't £20 when you add it to basket.
It was £28 in the store though!
It removes the money at the checkout rather than in the basket.
So it does once you've booked a delivery slot. By the time you've added on delivery £5.50 it was only £2.5 or so more. But if I order two bottles it costs less for delivery. May need to buy some more....--

bails87 wrote:If it looks like this then you can use the Tiagra BB.
But if it's a cartridge BB (with a single bolt on each crank arm?) then no, you can't.
However searching to see if I can ID the BB I think it may be the latter as there are threads mentioning VP BC73A and the shimano UN54 as fitting. And those look like cartridge with a single bolt to me.0 -
noisemonkey wrote:You can Laphroaig in Sainsburys atm for only £20 in the shop.. much more a bargain but I'm waiting on them reducing Talisker again..
Laphroaig is my favourite 'affordable' malt. I was sure it was marked up at £20 in my local Sainsbury's last night, but went through the till at £25 so I told them to keep it. My cellar is getting low so I may need to make another visit or get a case delivered.Nobody told me we had a communication problem0 -

It's not mine, far to much peat smoke for me.
Penderyn is my favourite or Oban Distillers Edition. But that Glenlivet French Oak 15 is very very nice.--

BB7s for the Boardman CXers. I don't think it's as good a deal as earlier in the year as there's no rotors (though the BB5 rotors on the CX are identical)

I had a Tigra iPhone case for a while (till I got a Garmin :-) ) their pretty good and felt secure and water resistant etc. yep the screen makes the touch screen less sensitive and harder to use. Personally didn't like using my only coms device for mapping as well...plus it doesn't look very pro...Garmin wins hands down...but then it ain't cheap !0

Sketchley - it is all your fault! Purely on the grounds of scientific research I had a couple of friends over to conduct a whisky tasting resulting in a rather sore head this morning and a significant dent in my stock of affordable malts. We did attempt a blind taste test but to be honest it all got a bit messy as the evening wore on. Anyhow for what it's worth the results in reverse order were:
7. 100 pipers (Blended) for comparison
6. Glenfiddich
5 Glen Morangie
4. Highland Park
3. Jamesons 10 year old single malt (Irish of course)
2 Glenlivet (the 15 year old stuff was a slightly different colour to the 12 year old stuff but taste very similar). In the top 4 of all 3 judges.
1. Laphroaig - yes it is very smoky and split the judges (2 of us loved it, but 1 was really not sure)
Had to go out today and buy another bottle of the 15 year old Glenlivet for £20 at Sainsbury's, but on the lookout for Laphroaig for less that £25 a bottle. At this rate I may need to change my avatar.....Nobody told me we had a communication problem0 -

£25.97 at ASDA, which you could round down. Who pays any attention to the pennies, anyway, amirite?0 -

Well if they fit the ultrafire too, don't mind if I do!Saracen Tenet 3 - 2015 - Dead - Replaced with a Hack Frame
Voodoo Bizango - 2014 - Dead - Hit by a car

Ultrafire fits, but not particularly well. The screw only tightens the front of the mount leaving the rest of the torch with clearance around it. I suspect this may lead to a bit of bounce in the beam so will try a bit of old inner tube as a packing piece.
Only arrived today so haven't tried it in practice yet. Will report back later with feedback based on usage.0 -

Haven't got round to it yet, utter chaos when I got home. I'll take a scrap tube to work with me and sort it. Didn't wobble much anyway. Pleased with the mount, torches are not great. Ultrafire is infinitely better.0 -

I can confirm these things are bright - real bargain for £5.60. Only complaint is the handlebar mount, which you have to take completely off as it's a bit obtrusive.0
