Who is saying you cant post ? its just that to say you are not bothered by what i say but you go out of your way to retort with insults well its just kinda looks like you are bothered . Your comment to Paul Cuthbert was unwarranted but is kinda in keeping with the insulting nature of your previous posts when you come across someone who has the audacity to disagree with you.Gasping - but somehow still alive !0 -
Could we maybe keep this thread as a sticky so the ALB-PLB war can rage in one place and leave everything else free for the cycling chat.
MG - you must really love this debate, I don't know how you find the inclination to keep fighting this battle. You would be some bugger you could never drop on a climb even though they appear to be towing a caravan0 -
Any of these definitions of 'propaganda' handily apply to what Armstrong and his minions are attempting to achieve in terms of an image wounded by persistent doping allegations. Obviously the politico-religious definitions somehow seem to fit most neatly http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/propaganda
Prodigy, agreed on MG And congrats on the mini-prodigy0 -

The PLB need enimies. They thrive on confrontation, just like the personality disordered buffoon they worship.
The ALB are of course all very well balanced reasonable people, honest and sensible just like myself.
PS. I think the PLB may sacrifice children too.0 -

Unwise move by Mr. Armstrong. Even Livestrong fans must be wondering why the character assassination keeps going.
Obviously, this thread proves the opposite.
All in all, he paints an ugly picture of an ugly character.
Long live the ALB!"Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
There is no PLB on this forum. A brigade, by definition, is more than one person.0

conceptual_primate wrote:You mention the ALB, but i think there is equally a PLB on this forum (as you'd expect) and then the rest fall in between. In my time reading these forums (admittedly only the last 4 months or so) it seems to me anyone who makes any point (rational or otherwise) that portrays LA in a bad light are immediately branded part of the ALB.
In this case, whislt myself being neither overtly pro- or anti- LA it is hard to agrue that the level of sniping hasn't been largely (without being exclusively) one-sided.
I think this goes for both sides. It's impossible to make any sort of rational comment about Lance, positive or negative on this thread without it resulting in handbags at 5 paces. Great to watch though.0 -
Lanceho needs to understand that starting the trash talk 7 months out to try and destabalise Contador is futile. Contador will crush this loser on any terrain. Lanceho should spend more time training and less time talking.
Big mouth, fat legs. Nuff said.Contador is the Greatest0 -

those are still a really sh1t pair of shoes irrespective of whose side you take. The Spaniards are getting as bad as the bloody Italians in mistaking gold coloured plastic for style.___________________

You miss the point entirely - they illustrate his GT dominance.
Furthermore, Sidi are Italian so they are not produced by Spaniards.
Additionally, they are a quality pair of shoes...but maybe if you prefer the black shoes of Lanceho and Wigola then your opinion would make sense.Contador is the Greatest0 -
Not sure what a pair of garish shoes have to do with a war of words.
However, I digress.
His latest, with somewhat better (moderate) things about Berto.....

Nice to see he has completely given up on his "back to raise cancer awareness" propaganda bullsh8t.
No doubting what his real intent was, last year.
More evidence of his great ability to spin a yarn. (lie)"Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

Jeez, yes, silly me. There was me thinking the three crowns were there because he was king of Spain
This kind of 'look at me' grandstanding with second rate, obvious 'iconic' imagery is something he shares with funnily enough, Lance Armstrong. Although to be fair I wonder if AC has more taste than to actually wear these?
You wouldn't have caught Kelly with a bunch of green shamrocks on his shoes.___________________

and to think only a month ago LA was saying things like
"The days of this team being built around me are done," Armstrong said concisely. "I'm 38 now, I'll be 39 this season - it would be irresponsible to build it around me. Going into the Tour we have to look at Levi [Leipheimer], [Andreas] Klöden, the tactics, the ideas that we use..."
still, there's no 'I' in team....

Where do you get the impression he is attention seeking and overtly showy in his clothes/equipment?! As I said, Sidi design the shoes, not him. They do it to attract attention so they can sell more shoes and make more money - it is as simple as that.Contador is the Greatest0 -
Sorry, I was fooled into thinking AC had somat to do with it by his signature on the side.
I do however take your basic point hence my comment re. him wearing em. I suspect this may have been foisted upon him by a sponsor as opposed to Bettini's ( and to an extent) Sanchez' chavtastic attempts to get around IOC IP restrictions.
Surely these shoes are not actually for sale though :shock:___________________

Long live the ALB!
The phrase "Reverse Pied Piper Effect" is an absolute classic, as for long live th ALB i really wonder about you lot though and how soft you are becoming we have a good old sporting rivalry with a good sprinking of a insults from both riders and you lot dont like it one little bit. What would you prefer a kind of after you claude type of thing where all interviews are bland sterile affairs and nobody has anything more interesting to say other than how good the new Campag groupset and is and how good do i look in these white shoes with crowns on them ..............i mean ffs say what you like about LA but life aint dull when he is around, so what he is opinionated for me that is a good thing in anybody never mind Lance.Gasping - but somehow still alive !0 -

"Despite the fact that he is by far and away the best known rider in the sport of cycling and achieved a podium finish after a three year absence from the Tour de France, he insisted that the team, even at the Tour, will not be solely focused on him.
So he thinks he has a very good chance of winning (unlikely) and he has other strong riders in the team whats the problem with him saying that ? or would you rather he told you how comfortable his new assos shorts are ?Gasping - but somehow still alive !0 -
