Damn these people with days off during the week for Wales trips

I'm up for another Afan though at some point (weekends are my main option though maybe I can afford a day off, but not this week I think).

cant nokia create a powerful internt phone system on something size of your phone stick it to your stem... and call it WFH : work from the Hills.

any way bring back some good footage guys or pics so the others stuck in an office can dream a bit of adventures in between the 3 keyboards and 27 screens.

ps when do we seen afan part 2??? has the camera man survived??
    or a teaser????

Mmmm, the joy of being able to work up the hours... 'The Company' very generously let me work an extra 12 1/2 hours over 9 days to 'give' me the pleasure of the tenth day 'off'.

The joys of contracting means they won't let me work from home, yet employees can. They don't seem to trust contractors, even though we're supposed to be able to work anywhere. Ah well.

I could do that actually as I work the hours I want, mostly. I could even just not make up the hours, but I lose money instead! It's just that there's tonnes of stuff on and always busy. Then again I should really just make the bike more of a priority :D

    Correct.

    See you Friday.

I'm taking some out of town friends out riding on Saturday and expect to have a horrible hangover on Sunday so my riding is going to be quite pedestrian this weekend (yes, even more pedestrian than normal). If they're up early and don't seem like they're going to kill themselves after Saturday, might try to get them to SH for a quick Sunday blast.

This wednesday taking Apprentice N1 to Swinley for christening into MTB proper. He absolutely must justify all my time spent into him, therefore he must humiliate Supra's apprentice no end ! Yes, baby ...

As it looks me and Buckaroo heading to sunny SWales this friday, I must tune in my beast too. Don't want that shiny puppy of his look lush, therefore I must take out my toothbrush and start polishing ma'bike !!! Atz, as you a man of great knowledge recommend me a polish that make my tyres extra black and shiny ?

I would avoid Ceasar's Camp and Tunnel Hill area for the next two Saturday's as there will be groups of grumpy teenagers with huge backpacks wandering around :lol:

So I could be mowing you down then :D.

Seems not much interest for it at the moment though.

Stan - not sure about Saturday yet. Awaiting parts and time to sort my headset out. I may be fixing it Saturday, but if I can get it done earlier, maybe SH around 10-ish. But then if the Sunday Caesars Camp isn't happening I'd rather do SH on Sunday.

Will see more towards the end of the week.

@DK - I should be OK for Sunday - happy to do whatever you feel like - somewhere new is always good - leave it up to you do do the map stuff though.
And was there ever any doubt about Popstar? Normal is not a word I associate.

@Popstar - think this is what you want

I doubt she would agree. Also... painting your f.... tyres?! Really? I think we need a new rule that after each ride, you clean OUR bikes before yours, you clearly have too much cleaning energy to burn.

Okay, Caesars Camp is on it seems for Sunday. Meeting up with a bunch from MTB Britain. An early 08:30 start from the Total garage on Odiham Road. Parking opposite the garage I think but have to confirm that.

  • Parking opposite garage confirmed, but you can also abandon your cars on the entrance road to the housing estate a hundred yards down the road.

Anyone about for a Surrey Hills ride this weekend? I think my injuries should have cleared up by then, I say this because today I managed to feed and clothe myself without any help.

I might be out and about on Sunday... depends on houseguests. That said, if they're still around, I think any ride will be slow(er) and (more) sedate (than usual).

    Hi Cooldad,

Sounds like an adventure waiting to happen, but my only problem is that I don't drive so not sure how to get up there. If I can train it up there and back then no probs.

Thanks for letting me know, can't wait to get back on the bike!

@naveed if you can get the train to Woking, I will have space on the car as thel33ter is not with me this weekend

After my extremely painful adventure with popstar I think a slow and sedate ride is just what I need. Anyway, if you're about weekend time for a ride let me know

    Cheers

If I ride any more sedately I'll fall over.

I can't tell anything yet, don't know if will survive Friday epics with Buckaroo. My wife made perfectly clear, she doesn't want to see me whole Sunday. That leaves me and a bike. Don't think I should clean'n'talk to it.

Really tempted to ride in SH, Redlands and some Gnar on Leith but doing it alone may be not a good idea.

Naveed, don't rush with riding, recover first.
