Just for clarity.... I am meeting MrCubeLtd at 11 (well 10:30 but thats only to look over his bike set up) at Go Ape. All are of course welcome to join, except Cooldad who has to do school duties. 3 hr Swinley ride, maybe doing a compleetly different loop than normal (Controversial I know). Perhaps head to Tunnel/Frith afterwards (can you tell I am wife/daughter free this weekend?).

Sunday I would prefer to go to SH, but could be persuaded to go to QEP in the morning, to see my friends from Hargroves, then SH in the afternoon? That would be about a year's riding in a weekend for me. Sounds like a plan forming..... Arigold, if you want I can give you lift where you need to go. You're welcome to crash over mine too if you can't be bothered to head back into London for Saturday night (and fancy doing all 4 rides :) ). Cooldad, DK do you fancy dinner / beers Saturday night at my place? You'd be more than welcome to come over.

Ben sounds like an idea. By dinner do you actually mean cook or T/A. Not fussed, just interested. I have Damon for the weekend but he is allowed limited quantities. more worrying is he told me the beer I had tasted sh1t.

Ill cook... Or maybe not. Lets leave it open and see what we can be bothered with. I must admit my reportoire is limited to things like roasts, chilli and curry - although I am excellent at all the above ;)

Lots of McPlans knocking about and i want to be doing some miles this w/end as my steeds back to full warranty fixed joy. So am up for a Swinley jaunt on Saturday at 11am, maybe also followed by Tunnel Hill if the weather and my legs allow it. I have only explored it once before and didnt find much excitement, found plenty of bullets tho.

Might also see how i feel for SH Sunday.

Will probably do QEP another time when i'm fresher for a full on day trip so i can also explore the South Downs more extensively.

Mine is anything, so long as I can stick chillies in it. Just re-stocked my supply of chillies, now I've discovered they freeze rather well. Italian, Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Good old British, whatever - chilli it up somehow. Though is pushing it in a roast, though it's a nice idea.

I all about the hot stuff too. We grow our own chillies, and as you say, they do freeze damn well. Keeps the stocks up over winter.

This is the MTBB Sunday Tunnel Hill option - http://www.mtbbritain.co.uk/forum/index ... ent_id=701

But open to whatever really. Would like to get Surrey Hills in, though there's no real weekend for me being one of those layabout contractors so plenty of other time.

    Belgian.

Or surprisingly a good few American microbrews are actually really nice now. Just not any of their canned crap.

If I had a beard and big belly I'd be arguing warm British beer, but I don't (well not the beard anyway) and really not a great warm beer fan.

Great! I could definitely do Saturday! Haven't ridden anywhere else but swinley/SH/cwncarn so it would be different to try other areas.

Also some beer and banter sounds like a good idea :)

  • On the Sunday SH front... Does anyone fancy going over to the Summer Lightning/Deliverance area, not sure what it's called, Leith Hill? I think I've only been there the once in the pissing down rain but definitely enjoyed it. Wouldn't mind checking it out as it sounds like a lot of the stuff on Pitch has been destroyed, which is sh1t.

Ps I'm planning on going to Rogate on Saturday for some DH action if anyone's interested? It looks really close to QECP so if anyone going there wants to hook up on the way back for a few runs then let me know, I'm planning on making a day of it.

OK let's all bring some favourites and have a tasting. I promise I won't bring any cheap French stuff.
And thel33ter better watch out or he'll be drinking orange squash.

    Leith.

Forget you haven't done Leith much. Loads around there.

p.s. QECP - apparently Jedi is opening it. Not sure if he meant that or he's going to the opening. Probably the former like some kind of state ceremonial visit :D

And here I was thinking its going to be casual riding for the weekend! Only thing that worries me is I won't be able to keep up, unless I hook a 125cc to my bike...

I will let you know later on whether I can make it tomorrow at go ape.

Just bring a bit of rope and tie it to the back of Ben's bike. He's obviously got too much energy.
