  • Get well soon Ben.

Had a good day up at Yogurt Pots today. Rode it three times to scout out sites for photo's then twice more stopping at various points for some camera pointing.

Waited for ages for anyone to come through then got this over 250 shots in just over an hour.

    Called this one "Guide Dog"

And this one "Follow My Leader"
    FollowmyLeader.jpg

Need to go through them all and throw out the crap then go through again and adjust as required. The day wasn't the best light wise depite using a 28-70 F2.8 lens. It's a start though....

    See you all soon.

Yeah, good day. Little bit of mud but nothing compared to the nasty clay mud slide that was Aston yesterday!

Hard tailed it round Swinley and really liking that thing round there now I've got used to it, and aside from vibrating cables it's nicely stealthy. The Nomad is noisy what with the zizzing hubs and clanking chain (need chain device and/or drop to 1x10 with short mech), though it's a seriously fun bike (except in clay mud!).

Looks like Yog Pots is gloopy again.

  • Thanks for the links, Cooldad.
First time at Swinley forest and it was brilliant! :D A bit muddy but still rideable. Enjoyed like a kid with a full box of candy.

  • Ok, sometimes before the end of next week; I will booking my trip to Morzine 2012 starting with Passportes du Soleil weekend(mostly for the party and the ambiance) and continuing for the whole week
So dates are to be 29/06/2012 to 06/07/2012
Will be flighting as no 3/4 others are committing now and I don't wat end up to driving there and back alone both for safety and cost.
If anyone is interested and ready to book, let me know and I will pm you details of the chalet I will be staying and the flights I will be taking.
Expect the whoe trip to cost around €1,000 all in (unless you brake you nomad carbon)
You can do it for sell but I don't do living on a shoe string budget

Surrey Hills Saturday probably for me. Not sure Sunday, something else may or may not be on.
  • Count me in for Swinley on Sunday. 11 o' clock?

I can only commit to chipping in for the Mars bar if there's four or more of us involved in the deal otherwise it'll be too expensive.
  • Can't do Sunday but will be back in Surrey Hills on Saturday with a couple of mates looks like.

No plans so far. I'm easy, just not stupidly early. Anything from 9 onwards.
  • I rode all the main trails today and its the best it has been for some time. The ground was rock solid and not a splash of mud! Amazing what a frost can do for the trails.
