Good ride today, beat the weather well, and DK was only 30 minutes late ;) ...

Be out again probably Tuesday - Thinking Surrey Hills.

I was just about to ask if anyone out to play Tuesday but you beat me to it.

Shall we roll call at WB car park, say 10am?

I'm also thinking Swinley, Friday if anyones up for that. Be nice to meet up with some folks who know Swinley well. (Hint, hint)

Could do friday next week........ Happy to provide guiding services.

    Count me in for Friday.
  • I'll be at WBCP 10am tomorrow....(ooops, today) in the Silver Renault Traffic ACS van. Looking forward to meeting up with whoever turns up but you'll have to make yourselves known to me as it's been a while.

    See you then.

    Andy.

Top riding today, summer lightning was almost perfect conditions, and the Telegraph trail cleared up nicely since the snow. Now, who's up for Friday?

No problem, Swinley is fine for me.
  • I'll be there if the legs recover and the BB is fixed.

Loved Yougart Pots and Telegraph today. After that, the legs went and even flowing single track became hard work.

Thanks to all for waiting for me on all the climbs. Really need to get my fitness up and improve technique.

    What time Friday?

Unless Ben 'Cinderella' Pinnick will turn into a pumpkin at midday, not too early. 11 is always good, 10 is acceptable, any earlier is purgatory, but possible.

    Good evening all,

are there any groups here willing to take a noob under their wing? Im of half decent fitness but then again, Ive only ridden off road about 5 times (and a totally different activity to being on the road or in a gym).

Let me know when your next outing will be please.

    Thanks.

    James.

More than welcome. Riding at Swinley on Friday, sometime in the morning, still to be organised. Probably sometime over the weekend and I think somethings sort of in the process of being arranged on Monday.
Just keep an eye on the thread.

Sunday or Monday is fine, or both. Would like to get out to Surrey Hills one of the days. Though got the whole week free anyway in my current state of semi-retirement! (new year resolution - get some work!)
  • 10am tomorrow? Another newbie tagging along if ok? Thanks all

  • I'm up for a Monday morning ride and have a mate tagging along as well if that's alright? Would prefer to go earlier in the day. Have tickets for the football in the evening.

No problem, normally wait under the trees at the entrance next to Go Ape. Look out for my Kona FS (and difficult to miss stomach), SC Blur, Azonic HT and Stumpjumper.

  • Just saw your reply. I was waiting inside next to the ape and didn't know who to look out for... Never mind! Pretty muddy over there although some of the main trails drained well. See you next time.

Fill free to join up (seems that getting more than 4 or 5 riders those cold days is a bit of a challenge so I need to edge my bets)

    Ok boys and girls(as if),
I will be back in the country on the 6th so what about a nice little socially paced ride on the 7th?
Got a few Xmas goodies that need trials testing including a very nice GoPro Hero 2 with all the mounts you can think of so I am hoping to get some descent footage and the more riders we have the more change I have to capture some interesting action (aka faceplant, I wish PopStar was still riding :P )
Not sure about starting time or route. Pretty flexible but rather looking for a bit of technical trails (more chance of interesting action )
    Any takers?
And if you have a sport camera of you own, evn better, I will be collecting all video at the end of the ride if any.
I am adding the ride to the calendar.
    Come one people!!!

Possible Swinley ride on Sunday and DK wants to do SH Monday?
Not sure about Monday myself - might just spend the day lazing in bed with masses of bacons.

Monday fine too. Surrey Hills if tomorrow is Swinley.

Your link doesnt work, but a Zaskar of any descriptions should be more than able to handle Surrey Hills and Swinley.
