I'd hazard a guess at about 25lbs....but now I'm going to have to go and weigh it to double check. Will post again after with the, what will probably be, depressing figure...

My Salsa Bandito HT is 18.15lb, my SS Marin HT is about 24lb & my BMX is between 24/25lb.
I've just bought a Rocky Mountain Element 50 & think that's about 26-28lb, but haven't weighed it yet to confirm.

    18.5 ????

How much does an 18.5lb bike cost ?
  • My XC MTB is 25lbs (front suspension only)
and my road bike is 21lbs.

I think they are about as light as you can go without spending a lot of money or making compromises in strength / performance / durability.

    Both cost around £1800

It's something I've done over 4 years & I tend to buy bits when I get great deals, even so I'd say I've spent £3k on it in total but some of that was offset by selling parts I replaced. I should really say it has rigid Ritchey carbon forks so with a top end sus fork it would be nearer 20lb, if I put silly super light tyres on it would be another 1lb lighter as well. I'll post a spec list if your interested, there's no super exotic parts on it either.

Even if no-one else is mate, i'm interested.

I'm quite inexperienced at this to a knowledge extent so more knowledge is always a good thing.

Mine seems like a bit of a bus compared to you lot. Bit of a disappointment actually as it's brand new lol.

    But it's a road bike. :)

xl Litespeed ocoee (in current burly singlespeed build) - smudge over 21lbs
large Spesh Pitch, slightly lightened from stock - a smudge under 31lbs

One's getting heavier for a being braver on (and fraknly I know I shouldn't be weighing it anyway); the other won't get any lighter without getting silly expensive and fragile (I'm big and clumsy).
