    I know what you mean!

Probably only going to do the magnificat in the uk this year as prep for the marmotte. Done hota for the past two years so don't need to do it again ;)

Abroad I've got Amstel Gold and possibly Her Volk lined up

Magnificat again. Brilliant training that. Not for the mountains, just for the sheer slog.

Reckon I'll let a bit of air out of the tyres next year, though.

    Best case scenario:

    Het Vollk
    Flanders
    Magnificat
    Marmotte

Likely to be one of HV or Flanders, though.

Tiz my local sportive well one of them anyway, next year i'm aiming not to be so hungover I almost puked in the first 5,10 & 15 miles and a gold standard.

Hard shells if it rains otherwise 4000S, take ample supply of co2 and inner tubes - the PF is very fond of this sportive.

Signed up for the Magnificat http://www.cyclegb.co.uk/ again, hoping for a much faster time this year, so no heavy drinking the night before and no 200km sportive the weekend before.

Did I at any point say that the list above was sanctioned by the ruling authorities.

Hoping to build in a couple of weekends away. Mrs TWH relaxes in the hotel spa and I go play in the hills.

Bikes ready for tomorrow's Magnificat, forecast is rain and wind not that you could tell right now.

I just went out for a quick scout of the road conditions, which seem pretty good. Shame i've done almost zero training :?

It's only 127 miles how hard could it be ...?

I bailed. A combination of being knackered after a long day yesterday and not fancying the weather. So did 70 miles in RP with JG. Wind and rain for 60 of those miles. Tried to do it on squash and three bananas. Didn't work, and actually bonked on the last lap. Was in all sorts of bother long before then, though: JG had to soft-pedal after all the hills. We did 2:59 for 9 laps. Very pleased with that, but I'm wrecked. Even more pleased I didn't do the Magnificat.
