Banana Splits - best theme tune ever?! Unless they've already brought it back - I haven't been checking....

    Also the Red Hand Gang

    Different Strokes

    Jamie and the Magic Torch

    The Rockford Files

    Not the nine o'clock news

    The Young Ones

    More recently....Reaper

All of the original ones right from the start, especially the Blue and the green, freaked me out as a kid but i loved it.

    Garth Marenghi's Darkplace.
    Spaced.

Although I'm always aware that one more series of either could be a disaster and taint the memory of a flawless original...

The Professionals - bad acting, bad plots, bad hair, bad clothes and fantastic theme tune. Best programme ever (yes I know it's on ITV4 but seen them all too many times - need new ones!)

Filthy, Rich and Catflap - one brilliant series, a promise of a new series in the autumn which never came and eventually we had the not (quite) so good Bottom to replace it.

Brasseye - still can't believe the numpties who complained at the repeated showing of the paedo episode months after it had first gone out. Chris Morris is a genius. Would also bring back Blue Jam on the radio

If we are doing American/Canadian shows then..

    Hill Street Blues
    Due South
    Northern Exposure

But not redo's, just the originals repeated, in full please!

I don't know if any shows redone would capture the originals.
There are all sorts of rumours of shows about to be redone, Hawaii 5-0 etc.
Not sure if it's worth the effort :?
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

The opening sequence always made me laugh on that (well, I was about 6 at the time)

Oh yes! Sunday tea at Nana's watching a bit o' Bully! 4 chubby helpers in Bully t-shirts shoving a speed boat out from behind a curtain. Jim says," ere lads, it's all yours!...bet you can't wait to take it for a spin, eh? On the erm...errr pond? River, aye take it to a river". You really couldn't beat a bit of Bully. B.F.H!

I really liked Airwolf as a kid. Filmed on a bit of a budget tho as most airbourne shots of the chopper were the same, as too were the explosions. Stringfellow Hawke, now that's a proper name...(as an aside, best made-up tuff guy name is Snake Plisken)

Kids drama from 80's...Chocky, Box of Delights, Stig of the Dump, Huckleberry Finn.

    The Professionals...power sliding Capri's, RS2000, guns & perms...what's not to like.

If you have it, a lot of these old shows are on Sky. Bullseye, Airwolf etc. And after seeing a few of em lately I'm not so sure they should be on. Memories best left as they are..memories..;-)
  • Chorlton and the Wheelies...

Just reading the synopsis on wikipedia, sounds like a programme created for cyclists!

"The series takes place in "Wheelie World", which is inhabited principally by the "wheelies", a race of anthropomorphic creatures who locomote by means of wheels."

Both of these have been brought back within the past year and were both rubbish. Some things should stay gone!

Does anyone remember an american show in the 70s where a group of people built a big space rocket and every week they'd use it to get to different parts of earth really quickly to act out a plot.

I vaguely remember one series of this programme but now I can't even remember what it was called or what it was about, apart from the rocket.

    Or did I dream it?
