my top five...in no particular order,
5. The King Blues - 2000trees festival '09 - just a great gig, great crowd, great frontman, great songs, and a nice anti BNP chant
4. The Paddingtons - 2007 tour - just an intense gig, loud fast, whole band going at 100mph constantly on the verge of hugging and/or fighting.
3. The Cribs - Reading 2006 - a band at their peak i thought, just carnage, had the whole crowd involved and made me sing along in a wakefield accent.
2. The Subways - Reading 2006 - purely for the epic sing along songs that filled the set, along with blue skies sunshine and plenty of beer.
1. Oasis - 2008 (maybe '09, cant remember) CIA - well they're oasis ent they! not my fave band but just massive live band, with hit after hit. i also came out without my shirt and broken glasses, which is always proof of a good gig.

Didn't think I was much older, was probably in 1991 that i saw them, I was about 23 at the time. Got down the front and came out of the gig absolutely soaking. Superb place the Barrowlands."Encyclopaedia is a fetish for very small bicycles"0 -

BUT
I have never forgiven myself for my stupidity in 1979, when a mate offered me a ticket to see Led Zeppelin at Knebworth. "Nah, can't be bothered." was the WRONG answer!
Oh man.. I feel for yah. Complete act of gross negligence .
Gigs that stand out for me....
Paige and Plant at the MEN arena - about '91.
U2 about a month ago at Sheffield. Probably the best gig I've been to. The whole show and atmosphere was just electric.
Pink Floyd at Maine Road in about '90 (I think).
Police reunion tour. Never saw them at their peak so it was a brilliant to see them live after 25 years. And they were great.
Those have been the highlights.
Next best have been AC/DC and GenesisCool, retro and sometimes downright rude MTB and cycling themed T shirts. Just MTFU.

OK - you're not older than me - it's just that the bands you listed all had their heydays between about 1970 and 1982 - I wasn't old enough to go to a gig till 1983, so I missed most of my favourites.
Only got into the Ramones last year - now they're my favourite band and i wanna see them live. might have to settle for a dvd instead.0 -
Best I've seen was Metallica's Justice for All tour.0

Best in no order- Radiohead, Queens of the Stone Age, Muse, The Killers and Do Me Bad Things
Kevin if you're a big fan of Do Me Bad Things... check out Sabre Tooth Tiger Band... features Tommy and Adam from DMBTs plus Steve Lowe from formerly of Tokyo Dragons on lead vocals... pure power pop to the top.... nothing recorded yet but when they do 'Tell me That You Love Me and Power of Love will surely be popular.. if there's any justice in this life0 -
I Saw Led Zeppelin at Knebworth back in the 70's.
Don't remember too much about it, but have vague recollections of Chas & Dave being one of the other acts!0 -
ramones were great live. Police were terrible
cribs tomorrow, looking forward to them, the new albums canny0 -
The Who. IndigO2 :-) Nice and intimate.0
-
Rolling Stones - Voodoo Lounge Tour, Wembley 1995.
Was amazing......especially as I was only 7 at the time!0 -
Oasis Millenium Stadium December 2005.
After that probably Foo Fighters Hyde Park.
Not my cup of tea anymore but Stereophonics (when they played proper music) at Cardiff Castle. Can't remember the year but think it was about 10-12 years ago. There is never redemption, any fool can regret yesterday...
Be Pure! Be Vigilant! Behave!0 -
Pink Floyd, first performance of The Wall, Earls Court 1980
Rolling Stones European Tour, 1976, Earls Court0 -

In no particular order -
Brian Wilson, RFH 2004 - Infamous lost Beach Boys album 'Smile' gets played in its entirety. Grown men weep.
Rush, NEC, 1988 - Bloke takes his son to his first ever gig. Kid is around 30 years younger than everyone else (incidentally I turned the tables a couple of years ago and took me Dad to see Rush - there were kids everywhere!)
The Cult, manchester Apollo, 1989 - Bloke takes his son to his second ever gig. Twenty years later it is still the most rock 'n' roll thing I've ever seen.
J Spaceman (Jason Pierce), Lowry, 2006(?) - Spiritualized frontman takes to stage with three peice gospel choir, acousic guitar, pianist and a string quartet. Grown men weep.0 -

I went to see them around that time at Manchester... probably the same gig
I should have added that to my list. They were outstanding that evening.Cool, retro and sometimes downright rude MTB and cycling themed T shirts. Just MTFU.

It was indeed - they were on fire. I was expecting lasers and projections like the Rush gig and instead sot a stripped down, dirty rock 'n' roll show that was deafening. They were a bit poor on the Ceremony tour in 1991 though (playing the G-Mex didn't help).0
