Hmmm - the only possible mitigating factor is that he's smiling boradly when he says it and has a definite twinkle of mischief in his eyes - could be another of the legendary Brad wind-ups???

Wigan are a good side and certain people have taken it out of context!
I could have used Ronaldo leaving ManU for Real, Rooney leaving Everton for ManU, Could have used a cow and a pig, horse and a pony???
    Technical description: backtracking.

His on-air comment was widely read as suggesting Garmin was not at the top level. I'd suggest they're pretty close, not far (in GT terms) below C-HTC, Saxy, Astana and CTT. And just where is Sky ranked?

Brad was leaving big clues as to his intentions/hopes but using clumsy metaphors, he's starting to look a bit of a dick. His comments about Larsson in the TT seemed like sour grapes. Perhaps he has been taking PR/media handling lessons from Cavendish.
Aspire not to have more, but to be more.

But Cav always apologises after he's calmed down (eg with Thor during the Tour-best buddies afterwards), and he's the first to say that he engages his mouth before his brain in the heat of the moment. All that adrenalin gushing and so on.........he wouldn't be the winning sprinter he is otherwise.

He's a quiet, thoughtful and considered man in private, according to all reviews I've read. But passionate.

Look at their different reactions to the Madison- Cav rode off in silence, not speaking to the press, whilst Brad drank Beijing dry.

They're both winners certainly, But II think they're completely different characters.

(never having met either of them, of course)
