"It's like trying to win the Champions League - you need to be at Manchester United but I'm playing at Wigan at the moment so I have to make that step up."
Wow, that's harsh. If he was riding for Bouygues Telecom, then fair enough, but it's a bit of a kick in the nuts for Millar and CVV, no?
They'll def have a team ready to bury itself for its leader. But, they need that leader, and they def need that other good climber... i'm kind with Iain in that the team does look a bit average at the moment, but they have got some great domestiques in there already, they just need the sharp end sorted...
I don't like Wiggins' character. Why is he now bitching about his team. He has the best or joint best TTT team, guys that can ride on the front and guys that can help him the mountains.
thats my thinking...well ok a bit above average in potential
who in sky would have been able to drag him up the Romme/colombiere better than CVV?
froome?
or
get him up on GC in the TTT lovquist and EBH vs millar and zabreski CVV
"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. What we're witnessing here is the world's most high profile mid-life crisis" Afx237vi Mon Jul 20, 2009 2:43 pm
The first picture of Fabian is just the Swiss TT champions Saxo Bank kit from the first half of this year isn't it?
Millar's picture is from last year's Worlds (he didn't ride the TT). Pooley and Froome were also wearing kit without any trade team logos in their TTs so maybe the GB kit this year isn't having trade logos? Sky exclusivity maybe? And that's the helmet he's worn for Garmin since the Tour aswell.
Not saying he isn't going to Sky, but I don't think his kit choice gives much away as it appears to.
I wasn't sure on it all till I spoke with a mate yesterday who knows some staff
Apparently its pretty much a done deal from sky's end. I know you will all laugh but I know the source is good and won't be suprised to see it happen now.
And there are plenty at sky or will be at to drag over the hills as good if not better than cvv...to be fair he kept coming back this year on the day where armstrong played games with him but on ventoux brad was pretty much alone. Given they are bring in TT specialists and concentrating on sprints with farrar I think a move is a wise choice.

Nah, it's quite harsh to be fair, I'd say they're more like an Everton or a Villa, maybe Tottenham from a few years back.
I did notice yesterday that Vaughters didn't mention him on Twitter. But then , he didn't mention TD either.
In my opinion if Sky add Wiggins and a top climber they will have one of the strongest tour teams.

Oh. Maybe not the last guy?
I am officially a pedant!

I wanted all Garmin people but failed miserably!
It's on his helmet though, the only garmin thing for Wiggins was the gloves...

Please reread my last post!
Tuft doesn't have Garmin shorts either:

That's why I didn't put pics of Tuft, Froome etc on there!
