Good week - 3 x commute (so 6 rides) and a weekend ride of 30-50miles
Bad week - nothing; if I'm away and the weekend doesn't work out.

    Usually it's somewhere in between.

Strangely the winter's better, as I get on the turbo and it's less impacted by life/weather.....I know I could use it in the Summer as well but it seems so "alien" to do that.
  • Just interested to know how many times you ride in a week.

3 short one and a long one on the bike (and a couple on the wife )
17 Stone down to 12.5 now raring to get back on the bike!
  • Usually 3-5 a week. 20-30mile rides in week at a fairly easy pace depending on how I feel, and a longer or harder ride at weekend if it's decent weather. Recently felt quite bad on the bike so eased off a bit. Can't get up hills for sh@t!

When I first got my bike last month I was going 5-6 times a week. Naturally that has reduced, as I'm increasing the intensity and duration of my rides. I'm probably going 4 times a week now, and usually I will ride 20-30 miles on my rides. I prefer to ride for 30-90 minutes at a moderately high intensity than go for hours.

Even at that short time (60-90 minutes) I find that I need a slight rest the following day, as I feel my legs a little heavy if I do a ride the following day and I'm about 1.0 mph off my usual pace. I have been making some schoolboy mistakes such as using a big gear and lower cadence, so I'm hoping changing it up to a bit of spinning and higher cadence might help me recover a little better.

10 rides per week (commutes Mon-Fri). No riding on the weekend at the moment as I do weights sessions.

I work 4 days on 4 days off. I ride to work on three of the days ( on the other I need the car to take uniform for the week ) then depending on other commitments I will ride on three of my days off. So six in total. About 100-130 miles a week.

Excuse my language on the last but one post, it was late and I'd had some wine, a simple 'bloody hell' would have sufficed. :)

5 (or 10 depending on how you look at it).

I ride 1.6 miles to the train station, I then get on the train for half an hour then ride 8.5 miles to my office, same again in the evening but in reverse, so I cover about 100m a week.

I want to get out on the weekends more, but I often find myself pushed for time, once I pass my driving test I'll hopefully be able to use evenings and weekends better, and might try and ride home from the office once a week, as it's only 30m.
