Ride every morning of the week, however only do a 17 mile circuit as only have 1 hr before the mrs goes to work and thats with going out at 05:30, anymore and i would be out on the road at 04:30-05:00 and thats just plain insane....

However, i try and get a longer one in on a Sunday, 30-40 miles on my own, but if i go on a club run then it will be between 55-66.
  • i am thinking of riding every day apart from sunday, someone give me some feedback please it would be greatly appreciated :)

    Now I'm back in work.

Great week ride to/from work 2x50 mins for 5 days then 2-3 hours Sunday and Saturday.
Good week 4 times to work plus sat/sun as above
Poor week 3 times to work plus sat/sun as above.

Riding to work every day is hard work, I'll have at least one tantrum and argument with the wife, demanding that I have the car. If I'm on a great week then the tantrum will be minor and I'll give in.

For me, getting a good night sleep on at least one night is key, also a can of red bull gets me motivated for the ride home if I intend doing some proper training.

Ride 5 to 7 times a week-seems to be a 60:40 split between road and off road mileage wise at the moment. About 550 miles a month but always try to have one rest day a week. If I ride 7 times that would be say 20-25miles am on a Sunday morning off road then 30-35 miles pm on the road bike then rest Monday.

    commute to work = 10

ride at the weekend = 1

so, 11 times. Total km is usually 300 at the moment
  • Usually 3-4 times a week, 1 long ride at the weekend plus a couple of short hilly circuits after work
Why can't the wind ALWAYS be be behind me

Depends on weather / the other half / my daughter or work. But generally 2 times a week on the bike and once a week on the exercise bike if that counts LOL

  • If lucky will do hilly circuit of 30 miles on a tuesday and Thursday. Then a long ride around 80 miles on Sunday. 140 miles a week ain't bad.
  • I try to do Tuesday and Thursday 1.5 to 2h.
I try to to 1 hill training session, and 1 full out speed session.
Saturday and Sunday 2h+ (depending on who I ride with)
That's for week when I work in the office/at customer

If I'm working from home I do 3 sessions, Monday Wednesday Friday + the weekend long ride.
In that case, the Wednesday ride is just a relaxed session, just getting the miles in.

Not enough, I suspect, but I try to do 2 week-night rides and a longer ride at the weekend.
  • 12 - commute in and back weekdays, one ride sat and one sun.

I guess some people who only say once are not including turbo trainer? a_n_t? Thought you'd do more especially with the TTing you did, unless you just changed cause it's getting winter?

It varies from me, this week I've done 3 so far, 55 miles sun, 25 miles mon, 55 miles tue.
  • Since retirement I try to get out every day :D

4 or 5 times a week. Anything from a 10 mile TT with warm up to a 3 hour weekend ride.

I was on the turbo a bit early season but my knee put pay to that. All i've done is a clubrun sunday and a 10 tt every fortnight [which has now ended] Training is overated :)

And with the lack of riding have you found your performance has increased or decreased?

Hmmm, must be phsycological with me, 4 rides in 3 weeks, first was 45 miles, second 21 in that made wind, then 55 and yesterday 50 fast, and I got my ass well and truely whooped by 1min 30 on a hill, which suggests I'm over 1min 30 slower on climbs since before I stopped I was faster than the guy who whooped me by 1min 30. But then you are doing 1 ride a week and your performance is improving!!

At least the weather is improving though.
