What a life, what a life, what a life....
  • wow shes a beauty, one of the nicest bikes i,ve seen
did you buy her in hong kong? i know that there is no vat to pay in HK but alot of the high end stuff is still (if not more) very expensive
where were the photos taken? the ones by the water (sai kung?)and the ones round circular seating area? really nice scenery and nice to see some greenery in HK
where do you live in HK? i just got back to the uk from HK 2 weeks ago, i tend to go there once every couple of years and based in yuen long NT.
can you recommend any good areas to ride- both mtb and road, i,m desperate to find a good mtb and road club to ride with when i go back. are there any really good roads where i can get some riding on without getting killed by the vast amount of traffic?

on a seperate note, do you venture into hong kong often? when i was there recently i spotted a bike in a car showroom on gloucester rd (the car showroom was right next to the maserati dealers-sorry cant remember the car showroom name itself) on the same street and on the same side as the police station and the church of latter day saints HQ. the bike had a single fork (like the lefty), single arm on the rear triangle (like the ducati motor bikes) and was belt driven-looked awesome-didnt have a camera on me at the time- if you are ever passing maybe you can take some photos and share it with us as i'm sure it would be of interest to many here

    thanks again

I9 with no tubes ZTR 355 Rims and I9 orange spokes with afew red spokes :D
Also I've changed the front tire from Schwalbe Racing Ralph to Rocket Ron ( better grip ) :)

    just reported item on ebay
more people should report it also so ebay takes notice of it and remove the listing before listing ends in the next few hours or else someone is going to be conned

This listing (250538880652) has been removed, or this item is not available.
  • Well Done all!
  • good work scaryfastandrew and on your first post :D
    welcome to the forum
you have saved someone alot of money and grief
i have reported items in the past to ebay where high value items (esp bikes) were sold in other countries and "relisted" somewhere else using the same photos and similar desciptions. they will "personalise" it by their tyre choice (more grip etc) as in this instance or to show slight scratches to make the listing seem more genuine
i have found that ebay can sometimes be a bit slow in acting so well done you all who reported it and succeeded in removing the item before the auction end (which was in a few hours)

That bike is awesome! I love the lefty video, it's convinced me there's no problem at all with those forks, I want one now!
  • Just ran across this forum and thread...how interesting! I was watching that ebay auction, and asked the guy a couple basic questions (like bike size). In any case, he emailed me directly, and I got this:

What size frame is it? If it's size small, is the stock crank length (170 mm)?

Funny thing is that I when I responded to him, I mentioned to him that his bike looked familiar, and sure enough, it was THIS bike! I had previously visited this thread before looking into buying a Scalpel.

I'm not sure how good of a scammer this guy is, but I was able to tie a lot of consistent information. The location was consistent too. He may very well have taken the identity of this individual, but that's a lot of bases to cover.

    Here's his information:
On the Ebay listing, location was Ponca City, OK
    Email: cohenour323@hotmail.com
    Name: Gary Cohenour

I did a Google search and found a Gary Cohenour in Ponca City, OK
    http://www.myponcacity.com/cms/City-Gov ... ement.aspx

He must have been on this site before, since he stole the photos from here.
  • Hi Guys,
I'm back.Been M.I.A for awhile. My god, I didn't know someone used my pic's on eBay. Ta very much in reporting it.
I though everyone stop looking/replying to my thread. I don't know why I never got a email alert when people posted on the thread. Must be my settings or something like that. Anyway I will be stating a new thread as I have a new bike!! :D Will post it up soon.

Lucky for me, I'm not you then. :)

Why would you be afraid?, it does bite.

Believe me, she is very tough for her class 8) and I use to weigh in at 205lbs (14.6 stone) so she was taking quite a beating.
I've had her since March 09 and only thing that I needed changing was the usual tires, brake pads, another new chain and bearings. I did upgrade the seat collar, a shorter bar and added another set of wheels.

No problem at all my friend 8)
