Teenager vs Bin

Another angry moment for Gtvlusso last night.....:-(
Pleased to say this was not cycling related....
Walked up to Tesco with Wilma (the dog!), parked her outside with her lead tied on a rail near the entrance to Tesco.
Went inside for bits an pieces - food based. As I was queuing at the checkout I noticed 2 teenagers with micro scooters by the side of Wilma - then one of them gave a her a swift kick to the stomach, Wilma yelped and they both fell about laughing......I saw red, dropped my shopping and started to walk to the entrance way. With Wilma now cowering and clearly distressed, the other teen decided to try and undo her lead and let her off. The bloody Tesco security guard just stood there watching......
Suffice to say, I grabbed said teen before he had undone the lead - spun him over and dropped him headfirst into a bin that was nearby.....I don't think he know what had hit him! His mate did a runner - In a way I am glad as it caused quite a stir outside Tesco and I probably would have damaged him.
Wilma was okay, but a bit wary on the way home.....

I'd love to say you shoudn't have done that, blah blah blah, but good work Gtv!
Disgusting behaviour on their part (I bet their parents are proud), and, personally, I think you were very restrained in your actions.

Good work!
I'm horrified that someone would do that to a pooch in the first place :evil:0 -

Good grab though, that's the kind of thing you see on the telly, very LOL. As someone else said though, the saddest thing is that the police could nick you for stuff like that. I'm sure they won't like, but it's another indication of how it's all gone wrong!
Ok, now where did I put my pipe...0 -

I expect you are fully and sadly correct, I expect they don't even care or know where their offspring were.
I don't think it is because you are getting old, I think you are right though that it has all gone fairly majorly wrong, I would say in the last 20 years, rather than 10.
I may be misinformed, but I get the feeling from visiting other European countries that it is not the case in Italy/France/Spain etc, or if it is, to a much lower extent.
Hence why mine and my girlfriends plan is to move over there at some point in the not too distant future.
Oh and of course there may be more sunshine, less traffic, better quality roads, nice food, nice wine, and more space, but apart from those little things.....

little shites.....i did a similar thing (bunch of bushes in the street instead of a bin) when I discovered a little mongrel throwing stones at my cat......Whenever I see an adult on a bicycle, I believe in the future of the human race.

Well done, i hope that taught him a lesson. I really can't understand why so many other youths act so plain idiotically and mindlessly these days. Have they really got nothing better to do in their sad lives? I pity them! They give the rest of us teenagers a bad name and it's not surprising!0

Citizen's arrest, cops, animal cruelty charge. Take up with Tesco's why guard took no action, threaten boycott, back down only when they provide Wilma with some "treats""Encyclopaedia is a fetish for very small bicycles"0

Thanks for the support - if you ever need a teen turning upside down and shoving in a bin, I'm your man.
Wilma is okay - she was a bit of a sh1tbag on our walk this morning as she got so much attention last night......I don't think dogs appreciate when you save their butts.
As for young teens, I hope they are sufficiently warned off - I have a few bruises from where the little git kicked me as I put him in the bin - There were quite a few wasps and flies around the bin, so I guess there was a pressie down in their somewhere for him....
Wish I had got the other kid now.....He was swearing like a trouper when he ran off, how very tough of him.
I don't think tesco security guards have the knackers to deal with anything aside the odd shoplifter....0 -
What a horrible story, I hope Wilma is ok?
I can't believe any one would do that to an animal!
I think you should have a word with Tesco tho, as their security guard is obviously useless. I can't believe he stood there watching and did nothing.0 -

Clever dog...!
No - in all seriousness - well done for defending your dog - I'd have done the same in your shoes, no question of a doubt.
It's mind-boggling what some people seem to think is suitable behaviour these days, and I'm only 25 (going on 55 apparently...!)

That sort of stupidly, cowardly behaviour makes me so angry.

so you're then stood therir, dog on leash, boy in bin. that what happened? you calmly wander off down the road while his legs flailed in the air trying to get out?0
-
I'm no dog fan but I don't hurt them
Well done that man for giving them a pasting
Think they got off lightly. Have a word in the strongest terms with Tesco's about the security guy. They are such a total waste of space.
It's just a hill. Get over it.0 -
Sorry to be devil's advocate, but the Tesco security guard isn't employed as a de facto copper - he's there to look after Tesco, and this was happening outside, right? So yeah, he's a jobsworth, but I don't think you can report him for it.
Nice work, GTVL, and cuddles to Wilma.0 -

Nice work, GTVL, and cuddles to Wilma.
But... this was happening on Tesco's premises (assuming Wilma was tied up in the Foyer/Outside area belonging to Tesco's) So while he is not a copper, he should have some, yes just some duty of care for the property/belongings/animals that belong to customers of Tesco's. I mean should he stand by and watch neds trash cars in the car park, as old lady's get mugged, of course not. He should do something to protect Tesco's reputation. I am sure Tesco's dont want to be known as dog unfiendly "Come to Tesco's we let your dog get beaten up outside and do nothing!" Doesn't sound good does it?"Encyclopaedia is a fetish for very small bicycles"0
