    Mate,

that's very bad news. I hope you rapidly get better.

Just to fill you in on the blanks, you and me had a couple of pints, we'd had a small wager about my ability to catch a dropped beer mat - I won and you owe me 250 quid.

    Don't worry though.

You can pay me back in installments.

If I had a night out with Greg T after which I regained conciousness in hospital, I'd be very relieved to hear the damage he inflicted was merely financial.

  • Sheet. Sorry to hear that mate.

A had a similar accident a few years ago where I woke up in hospital. Hit and run though, they never caught the driver. It's not a nice feeling.

Hope you and the Trek make full recoveries soon.

    Bad News...

Not sure what would be worse....not knowing anyting about the accident until you wake up or being awake through the whole ordeal......

undecided....but in any case...definately horrible to wake up in hospital....your brain must have been thinking WTF........

    hope you get better soon....

Crikey, hope you recover ASAP, and no permanent damage I hope. After my close encounter with the bonnet of a people carrier at Greenwich Park, I am extra wary of them...

Yeah not a good feeling waking up somewhere you didn't expect.

Hope you gett better soon Rich. And you never know you may eventually remember more about the ride home even if you don't remember the actual accident. When I crashed couldn't remember anything for about 10 minutes before the crash but now I can remember right up to it (although not what I hit to send me flying over the handlebars).

    Get well soon.

And get that Madone checked over properly - damage to carbon isn't always visible.

You know, if it weren't for the injuries that'd be a fantastic picture of you!

    Chicks dig scars, anyway :)
  • Very best wishes for a speedy recovery Rich.

I don't know if it helps but I read a great line in a signature once, which might be apt: it read "pain is temporary, the glory of beating your mates to the top of the hill lasts forever..................... "
