I'd been watching a lot of 'Mighty Boosh' and it's a Vince Noir reference as well as a nod of the hat to music genius Jim Noir.

To this day though I have no idea why I put it all in capitals - that was a mistake.

When my wife and I went for our first scan, our baby received the nickname peanut, and I was born in '78.

My God... How big was your name!!?

I started off as grasshopper, because of shaved head (TV series Kung Fu).
This is a long nickname, which was gradually shortened to hopper, had to add the '1' for signing up!!

Why the capital "A" and how do you specify that you're using a cap letter when calling someone something?

my name is Ollie but for some reason one of my friends years ago at the begining of secondary school just put a "da" on it. We used to play a lot of online games as I was a geek, and it just sorta stuck since then for online stuff

And because "Just one Cornetto, give it to me..." seemed to be stuck in my head for ages for no apparent reason at the time I registered for this forum.

@orderodonata I study flies (as in the buzzy insecty kind  ) and since this is a bike forum thought I'd better add a cycling related word in there. Since I used it though, I found this - now I want one!

I used to study wasp sounds.

I found a 12" record of European wasps from a second hand record shop and I didn't recognise any of them at all.

I checked with the shopkeeper and it turned out I was listening to the B side.

That made me laugh, then I realised that some of the younger generation won't have a clue what a B Side is.

My mates son kept calling me Barnesy (my real name is Jamie Barnes), so I said to him 'You can call me 'sir' or 'BigJimmyB''.

He went for the latter and it stuck.
