my old nickname when I joined my first road club. I was just a 'soft' MTBer and took a right good kicking on my first few training rides. I got better, but the name stuck... ;)

Xbox live wouldn't let me have my real name as my username

    it wouldn't let me have:

    red dragon

    red_dragon

    reddragon

    red draggon

    red_draggon

    reddraggon

but it would let me have redddraggon, and that just stuck as my online alias.

Back in the day, when I was signing up for one of the older MBUK forums, I didn't really know why I was signing up, so I thought of this.

generally, if I'm online it means I should be working on my phd.

the username was meant to be a joke when I first typed it into the new account screen, but over the years it somehow became true!

    Classic Vespa - see avatar

same as the one that goes over Beachy Head in Quadrophenia.

I spent a (relative) fortune restoring one to factory spec (no mirrors, or foxtails) , only to have it destroyed by a myopic motorist - still, the car was written off too, and I learnt to fly that day so not a total loss.

If you type my surname into Outlook it comes up as Woodlark on the spell checker. Over time the guys at work that came up with it changed it to Woodchip. Stuck and I like it.
I have nothing more to say on the matter.

The members of my old online gaming clan http://www.hussars.org.uk/ all had names taken from the Blackadder TV series. I still use it as so many people know me as that online.

A=Angie McD - my maiden name. Took me a while to think of that one  .

Was really wanting to use my family's nickname for me but thought it slightly inappropriate for a cycling forum, and you might wonder why I was ever stuck with the label of 'knickers' :D
