Yes I know it's a crap race, but it's still cycling, and cycling is good, no?

Anyway, there's live streaming here of stage 2:

http://www.justin.tv/yarecky200o/old

40-odd kilometres to go. Dominique Cornu, Stephen Cozza, Dominik Roels from Milram and some guy from the Polish team are in the break.

The feed above isn't showing the race. This is, amazingly in crystal clear quality!

Thanks. For some reason, the Tour of Poland is always really good quality... from the camera bikes to the helicopter shots... it craps all over the stuff you see from Spain and Italy.

What a mess that was. Every man for himself with no lead outs.

Unfortunately, yes, Angelo Furlan. "Unfortunately" because I saw the Lampre jersey and thought it was Gavazzi - thus netting myself 6 valuable PTP points.

Exciting finish, though. Ballan is getting really desperate to get himself a win in the rainbow jersey. Time is running out...

True! He had bad luck at the start of the season though. Maybe he will have to win the Worlds again...

I love when those 2km flyers work.

    Stage 3 live: http://www.justin.tv/lukkaszewski27/old

Looks like quite a tricky finish today, but should still be a bunch sprint:

Although the past two days have shown us that there are about a dozen sprinters who all fancy their chances and are all willing to have a go. Makes a change...

Bjorn Schroder, Olivier Kaisen and Laszlo Bodrogi are in the break.

2'20" for the 3 leaders, still 47 kilometres to go. Unfortunately I wasn't paying attention, but looking at the route, they appear to have already gone through the town of Kock.

1'25" with 17 km to go. Lampre doing all of the chase, especially Bruseghin and Sapa. They must have faith in Furlan to do the double.

Gruppo compatto as they arrive on the finishing circuits. 3 laps, 13.8 km in total.

Astana attack! No idea who it is, but guessing he's a Kazakh.

Never heard of that Liquigas winner...

Afx, have you got a start list?

    1. Guarnieri from Liquigas
    2. Brown
    3. Greipel

The winner is a new name to me, but he took it fairly easily. Greipel got a better lead-out in the last kilometre, but it was still very messy.

It's not exactly comprehensive though. :D

But not a bad sprint by a neo-pro and Liquigas will work for him again now he's delivered.

    Today's stage:

    e4_height.gif

Still no sign of Poland's only hill, but a very long stage. 239 km! In comparison, the longest stage in the Tour was 225 km, and the longest stage in the Vuelta is 224 km. The distance could see the bunch break up a bit.

Roux from FDJ, Rousseau from AG2R and Vaitkus from Astana are in the break.

QOTD: Why isn't Vaitkus the Lithuanian champion this year? How many other Lithuanian cyclists are there?! :?:

I've been quite enjoying the race so far, not the commentry obviously although I warmed to Carlton during le tour.

It's nice to watch a bunch sprint without knowing who's going to win :D

17 km to go. Breakaway caught. Columbia and Liquigas keeping the speed high.
