Stops trees opening it lol.
XTR skewers are a joy to use. So smooth and easy to judge tension.
Best there is bar none.0 -
I have to say... the XT skewer is lovely and smooth to use
Oh and if/when you get revs... you'll love them. Had my 1st bounce today and wow.
Tad bit of flex (compared to the domains) but mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
I hope they do black ones for you're Zaskar though!0 -
Lol, I'll aim for black!
I bet they flex more than my Toras. Beasts.0 -

They do have black revs, so you'll be ok.
Looking good
Talking about XTR skewers SS, can you tell me which size I'd need for the rear of my P7 frame as CRC list 2, 168mm & 173mm? Cheers HEREOrange 2010 P7 - Custom Build - My New Bikey Poos

Dunno, but I'd get the longer ones. You just get a bit sticking out the nut if too long.0

Looking good 8) I think that may be one of my all-time favourite frames - the alu ones were sexy enough then they had the bare-faced cheek to make it in raw carbon
Those wheels/spokes are wierd - never seen anything like that before :? Are they the new version or something?
Agree on the skewers - although i had the XT, not XTR - they are streets ahead of the KCNC's in terms of clamping performance - unlucky that they weigh about 3 times as much though
Have you ever thought about a Reba up front? I've had mine a year or so now, and i can't really fault it (although i did upgrade it from a POS Suntour thing!).0 -
Are th Speed King protections heavy? I've got the normal ones on mine which I really like but I've done three rides now and had three flats!0
-
Ooops, forgot to get back to you
The wheels are an older XTR set with the nipples at the hub and as you say, a strange rim attachment.
Thinking about a mm Reba Team, but the Toras are not that heavy, and are stiff and bombproof.
The tyres are about 55g each from memory.

Did someone buy a new camera? lol.
I haddn't noticed the XTR spoke attachment until i read... looks odd!!
Tis looking really good, needs to get diiiiiirty though haha!0 -
Nah, those were with my Nokia phone lol.
Tis dirty, look at the BB0 -
How is your stem from carboncycles? I am thinking about one as they are claimed to be as light as a lot of the top end stems but at a fraction of the price. Is there a catch? Is it drastically over weight or flexy? It's a stem so much can go wrong? But 116g for 60mm at £13 just seems incredible to me.It\'s not your aptitude but your attitude that determins your altitude0
-
They are fine! Not felt any flex, though I haven't really ragged the life out of it. I guess much above 80mm, which I run, and you may feel it. I only run 620mm bars though.
You can get 5 of these for the price of a Thomson - go for it!0 -
Those spokes look scary :shock:Specialized Enduro SL Pro Carbon

Just swapped in my red MG1s from the other zaskar and an XT cassette. Looks weird lol, but saved half a pound.0

If things go right this summer will have a Rev on the front. SHould drop it under 23lbs - not bad for a 130mm hardtail that can be given a bit of a thrashing.0
-
Made a couple of changes recently: Fizik Gobi Ti Wingflex saddle, funky foam grips, and some red XLite spacers and top cap that I found. Oh, and an RSP computer.

Old saddle and grips were blue, but as was more red appearing on the bike I opted for red grips.0
-
How much does the whole bike weight? Also.. .size? :P0
-
Is a listed Medium, which is 18 inch seat tube, and 23.5 inch top tube.
Weight I am unsure, probably 24-25lbs.0 -
Thanks.
How long have you had this frame for?0
