  • Did Hurshov possibly not contest that sprint point as hard as he might have because he knows there's going to be plenty that Cav won't go for before the tour is over?

Looked to me like he knew he was beaten so eased up a long way before the line.

There's only 25 points for the win today because it's a "medium mountain stage".

Those Specialized adverts with Cancellara and Schleck Jr are actually quite good, as cycling adverts go. Better than the frickin' Sidi ones anyway.

We get them here in Australia. I like them.

Helps too that I ride a Specialized. Brilliant bike.

Who is the third rider in those adverts, wearing the Orbea kit? Obv the other two are Berty and Sammy...

Is Didi about ? Not seen him yet.

Spotted him yesterday, jumping up and down in the usual fashion.

Met him at the worlds in Madrid 2005, nice bloke actually.

I got my photo taken with him opposite Buckingham Palace during the London prologue. Felt like a kid! Oh and he didn't smell, but then I guess it WAS the first day.

Ooh, I missed that. I was talking about the little dog that ran out in front of the commissar's car a few minutes ago.

Breakaway staying away today? 49 km to go, 4 minutes for the break. None of the sprinters' teams look interested, just AG2R riding tempo.

Could do. Classy group, plenty of them, working well together.

The breakaway's about to go up the Cote de Boumont - suggestions of some 20 % bits amongst the 11 % avg.

    Agreed.

Pelizotti looked good. Martinez needed a breather at the top.

You know, after nearly 2 weeks, I have to concede - I'm starting to warm to those Ag2R knicks.

I still don't think they'd look good on a pastey looking rider.
