interesting times.....
Maybe both. Just saw Paulinho taking Berto to the front of the second group.
I noticed that too, but it looks like that was just bringing into a safe position. It's Garmin, Lotto, Liquigas and Saxo doing the work.0 -
Lotto, Rabo, Saxo and Garmin, not exactly pulling hard.
Are the expecting a shift in the wind?"Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
The advantage for the main peloton is that it isn't really echelons, more a burst of wind and a single split.
At least it shows Astana isn't riding 100% for Contador... if we needed confirmation :?0 -
And Skil-Shimano showing early on it deserved its wildcard0
-
Good work by Columbia to have all nine riders there. Cancellara is in the break too as is Hushovd.Contador is the Greatest0

there's still time to reel them in.0 -
25 secs at 18.5km.Contador is the Greatest0
-
my guess is hincapie or cavendish had a little wisper to LA and told him "hey were about to jump up the road so if you want to come then jump on"0
-
More splits in the peloton coming up? Certaintly some major suffrin' going on at the moment.0

columbia doing too much work. it will backfire tomorrow. they shouldn't be making cav work so hard.
contador is not hurt by this if astana wins tomorrow.
lance is not working for the front group.0 -
looks like it all started when astana sent a rider back for some water bottles... hmmm interesting0
-
Popo and Zubeldia helping out!
UGH.0 -
WTF? Liggett and Sherwen banging on about Armstrong in yellow? Weeping dicks.

What\'s the point of going out? We\'re just going to end up back here anyway
0 -
Finish should be interesting. Columbia might be cooked. Hushovd is there and Cancellara can always try a special move before the line.0
-
I would love to be a fly on the wall at the Astana dinner table tonight. Or perhaps that should be "tables". I'm assuming they don't sit together.0
-
They ARE off!!!! 8)0

If the lead group stays away by 23 seconds or more and then Astana win the TTT then Armstrong could be in the yellow jersey rather than Contador.0

Armstrong urging them on! Telling them to ride against their leader."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"
@gietvangent0 -
Garmin not chasing? Must have given up on today and be saving themselves for tomorrow.0
-
Unless Armstrong is a genuine contender for the overall when they get to Paris this shouldn't actually harm Contador's chances that much as there are no other GC contenders in the lead group.0
-
So LA is waving his arms around ordering everyone in that group to take their turns...he exempts himself from that though.Contador is the Greatest0
-
Bertie nae mates...0

CSC not working? As Cancellara is there and they arent working then maybe they fancy their chances of keeping yellow tomorrow. Schleck is losing time but maybe they think that Armstrong wont be a contender at the end.
No sign of Caisse d'epargne helping the chase?0
