As for dating mingers....I have dated a couple that were not tres hot and they are just as bad trust me!!! They don't make any more effort or value having a non-minging partner :(

My most recent ex was well fit though, probably the hottest one I've ever dated....and the best in the bouduoir.... gutted!

As far as getting used goes, I have had 4 people quite blatantly use me in the last 12 months, just makes me feel a bit worthlesssometimes, as much as like i said I do put out....I want someone to care about me as well as getting laid!

Lol, it started off as was divorced. Then admitted they were seperated... pending the divorce coming through. Then admitted they had not even filed for it as was too expensive... (she was a Yank)

Didn't have much look the time before that either - moved in with her, 4 months later she admitted she had fallen for one of our biker mates then two weeks after that moved in with him.

Haha sounds like someone I'd end up getting involved iwithtoo knowing my track record!

Hope all is good now and it hasn't scarred you too much

Hmmm, 2 people of opposite sexes and similar ages, both from Sheffield, and both complaining about their problems with the opposite sex in the same thread...

Can't say I have much luck either. Last G/F admitted she was still married then the husband threatened to kill me.

    That's a bit of a bu66er!

Been married since I was 24 and met my wife when I was 20. Got a bit lucky I guess. Saves a lot of stress. Know a lot of single girls in their 30s - no idea why most of them are single - and none of them like it one bit.

Truly it's not the case. I said before I have been with a couple of not so handsome boys and they have all been just as bad! So yer I think I must just attract the a-hole type!

Hmm well there is a limit!

I dont generally tend to go for the pretty boys anyway, my last ex was an exception, OMG he was gorgeous....and he ws lovely while we were together...but he had some kind of mental breakdown, I tried to be there for him but he didn't want it and dumped my ass. Shame it was hard to see him suffer. He has totally erased me from his life now, which I dont really understand becasue we never fell out or anything. Just hope he is OK and sorts himself out, not nice to be depressed!

For my 30th Birthday 5 couples went up to York & hired a house. Cars were MR2, 911, TVR & Lotus. Now six years later if we all went back it would be estates & MPV's :)
Yeah, funny how that happens. A group of my old Uni friends and partners get together every year in a rented cottage. There are 10 of us and we'd stay up getting mullered and behaving like idiots till it was daylight.

These days we are all parents of young kids and half of us are tucked up in bed by midnight knowing full well that little'uns will be up at the crack of sparrow and full of beans - no fun with a hangover, or still drunk, trust me.

And yes, the cars have all got bigger and slower.

I still feel 26 so I dont care what number I get on my cards! Im actually 32, but it's more about how old you feel. Half of the people that complain about being 30 are fooling themselves that they feel older...IMHO

At 30 I stopped thinking of myself as young. It sounds bit stupid but when I turned 30 I started to think about my age properly for the first time - things I wanted to do but hadn't, where I wanted my life to go etc etc. So over the next year I changed my career, bought a house, got married to my girlfriend and decided to start a family and get a dog. Settling down you might say. I have to say that turning 30 was a kick up the arse and I grew up as a result. I'm now closer to 40 than 30, have two kids a black lab and a bucksome wife and have never been happier. This worked for me because I'd done all my misbehaving between 15 and 30 and was getting bored of it! I realise that it doesn't work like that for many though.

I wouldn't worry about it, im 35 and still doing alright.

Also relationships are overrated just be grateful for the peace and quiet of being single. ;)
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.
