I instantly regretted the very drunken tattoo of a weasel on my back. Luckily it was small and the pain it took to remove it was only 4 notches above excruciating.

I would get another one if I could think of something I wouldn't regret in twenty years...but I can't and I don't want to go through getting another one removed.

You do know you don't have to use a cheese grater to remove them?

See most of us are 30 plus with work now.. six packs are hard to keep with the calories needed for 40-50k trails to be ridden and the minimum daily allowance of bacon being consumed at regular intervals...

 Fair enough.. funnily enough, I was sober at the time!

Who knows, I may regret it in 20 years, only time will tell. By then though, I'll be nearing 50, and the only people to see it will be the kids (if that ever happens), and the poor wife (whoever that may be). I don't plan on being a stripper or anything, so it's all good :)

I'll probably have bigger things to worry about than a tattoo of a sheep when I'm that age though..

    Gaz - nice!

Whats the pain rating on the inside of the bicep? That's one of the next areas for me, so kinda curious!

that was actually not too bad, 4/10 I'd say rising to a y as you get up towards the armpit. I was on a no emla day too, I know its cheating, but tattoo's hurt and they cost money, so the less flinching and the more that can be done, the better the outcome and cost

I've always wanted a tatoo, but I keep changing my mind about what I want every few weeks. So I've decided not to get one, or I know I'd just be annoyed with it after a few days.

I dislike most tatoos but that's more down to the fact that most people get tatoos that just don't suit them. When the right person gets the right tatoo it looks awesome

    what's emla?

I'm getting a half sleeve done in July and anything that lessens pain and flinching is desirable

Its a numbing cream, used for injections etc, it pretty much works for the first pass of a needle over an area and then lessens the pain after that. You can get tiny tubes online or get it over the counter at a chemists (you have to ask for it and dont get the little tubes,) get a 30g one and use, about half a tube per sitting, smear it on liberally about an hour/hour and a half before your sitting then wrap your arm in clingfilm

whatever, 5 hours strikes me as long.

I hadn't had one for about 10 years and then I got one on my calf the other week, strung like f**k so I figure I better take all the help I can get on a 5 hour job.
