Already got my dream bike! I'd stick Super Record 11 on it though and some of the new Lightweight clinchers, and some Speedplay nano pedals.
  • you can get those lightweight clinchers with PRINCE decals

I wouldn't change the bikes I have, but I'd get three sets of Campy Bora Ultras. One set for each bike, and one set for the support vehicle I'd pay to drive around behind me, mending my punctured tubs.
Swim. Bike. Run. Yeah. That's what I used to do.

Would be buying more than one bike I reckon, maybe a Maxima with Super Record, something handbuilt and titanium, a nice retro steel number...

I want to make something based around a Colnago Master X-lite frame. Ol' skool looking, springy steel loveliness, with something expensive and Italian for a groupset, just to see what all the fuss is about. We can't all have the latest carbon space age stuff. It would be boring.

    Already got it.

However, I would probably get a fancy SS and a TT bike... :D

I quite fancy a Van Nichols style titanium frame myself, but in a 'cross style frame, some really nice wheels (probably custom around ultegra hubs or something). Ultegra gearset, brakes.. mind you the DTSwiss hubs look nice too

Infact I'm tempted to build it all up myself, lotto or no lotto. :P

Moots VaMoots. Ti post, Ti stem, Chris King headset, clavicula cranks, a few sets of wheels to suit the occasion, Record, Red, or DA - whatever was best that year.

I'd only need about £10k. That's achievable, I just need to bill more and pass more exams.

Although its further down the list than an Empacher, and some sea kayaks.

Maxima, Super Record 11, Zipp 808s or some other exotic wheels for the road bike.
A full on TT bike just for fun.
A nice custom Van Nic ti for when the weather is bad.

I'd also get that mad coach they showed on Top Gear a while back, this will allow me to get myself, the family (if I don't run off without them!) and the bikes out and about and also has a nice little sports car stowed underneath :-)

Something like this would be perfect:

Where the heck do you start?

A Storck, just to see what the fuss is about. Ditto the Muuseeoeoeoeoew flax jobbies.

An Independent Fabrication, perhaps a couple.

    A Litespeed Ti bike.

The alu frame I think Longo won her Olympic title on as a collector's item. Not sure, but there was won she road and it just looks lovely.

A nuclear bomb of a TT bike.

A seriously high end cross bike to race on.

And wheels. Mt God, lots of wheels. Lews. Edges. Lightweights. Zipps. Heds.

But I'd still keep my existing bikes. :)

Moulton Double Pylon, stainless, full DuraAce groupset. But that's an 18 month wait, so in the meantime I would have to nip to Velocity and get a Maxima. Full carbon-effect finish, Di2, flash-but-sensible rims- I'd want 'British road-proof' spec. And a Dahon Jetstream EX (latest version of mine) with the DualDrive hub drivetrain replaced with double chainrings, DuraAce or Red, paired-spoke rear wheel.

Erm... how long have you got?

It your arms are hurting more than your legs, you are doing something wrong.
    It never feels right.
It looks better than it feels.
You have to row for years for it not to look bad from the outside, so don't delude yourself that the boat looks anything more than a drowning arachnid until at least 2014.
In 2014 your will have 10 strokes when the boat will dance, bubbles form on the hull and you'll leave everything in the water and nothing in the boat. Then its all down hill.
Nice creatures live near water and entertain you while the coach and/or cox drones on.
Early mornings have a certain charm, nut not in late November... of February.
    Buy some savlon.

    Me?

Not rowed competitively for nearly a decade.

The thing you have to bear in mind about ergos is that they are stationary, and on land. The best 2k score I ever saw was a bloke from the Yukon who had a technique so bad he could have single handedly sunk an VIII, which was okay because he'd never sat in a boat.

Go play outside, unless you have no alternative.
