Think there may be a few stories regarding the the PF from the Etape Caledonia - apparently local PF rather fed up about road closures and went out and scattered tacks all over the road.....
Event was paused for a while but apparently underway again now.....Emerging from under a big black cloud. All help welcome0 -

typical short sightedness i'm sure they're happy for all the extra tourist income from the event.Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.

Nope check that and it's pretty new tube in good nick, i've just spent 30+ mins dunking it in the sink, nothing nada oh well I guess i'll just shove it back on the bike and move on to number two.
Does that still count as a PF visit after all it was flat and I have gone through the motions etc etc.Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.

none this year on any of my bikes
protected by a guardian angel......0 -
Okay i'm very confused now, tyre number two I thought i'd pump it up first and see if it goes down, it's been 1hr now and nothing its still rock hard at the same pressure - WTF!!!!
That's it i'm not buying conti tyres anymore, I must lash out randomly to justify this confusion and conti will be my target.Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.

Oh hey do you have a link? Know people doing it! Also know the area quite well - these are local people* complaining about a small road being closed for a few hours... on a sunday!
*the ones in the poncy golf club, anyway0 -
Ah, Grr!

Yes, every 365 days, they close the roads for a few hours, bring in loads of people and boost the local economy. Inconsiderate basturds.0 -

If not, you could put it in a bowl of water to see where the air bubbles are coming from.0 -

I think ITB has tried that:itboffin wrote:lost_in_thought wrote:itboffin wrote:Search as I might I can not find a hole in the tube, so why is it flat???? :?

Er... ITB, when you dunked it in the sink, it did have water in didn't it?
The fairy really loves ITB "Sleeper punctures"0 -
Both tyres have been filled with slime assuming they have tiny punctures slime should do the trick, maybe :evil:Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.

You could always do what I do, and pump them up a good distance past where they ought to be pumped up to. If there's a tiny puncture you'll find it.0
-
You both know it's the tiny holes in the *tubes* that give punctures, right? Not the tyres?
(I suddenly have an image of ITB getting a puncture and replacing the tyre but keping the same inner tube, and wondering why he's got 19 punctures this year...)0 -

Oh right
Checked them both this morning and still rock hard, crude joke removedRule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.

aaaaaaaaaarrrrgh guardian angel must have been on holiday
first flat this year . halfway home persisting of rain and no tubes with me0 -
Walk into garage take road bike off wall and what do we have here a flat rear tyre :?
That's three bikes all not used in weeks all with rear flats, I whipped the tyres off and one of the park tool pre glued patches is all bubbly and lifting off, so not only have they increased in price by 50% recently but now they're faulty as well, time for a brand change me thinks.
I've always though park tool were cheap crap which costs a lot, grrr
Still I threw the tube, popped on a new one re-adjusted me cable tensions and mechs then went for a gentle ride in the sun!!!! for a change.
Total PF visit YTD is now 20Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.

Nothing this year - the Great and Mighty Schwalbe (All hail) protects me from the PF :shock:0
