    2008 = 0, 2009 = 0

(actually I may well have had one on the Trek pre-June last year, but that's still 9 months and over 2,000 miles without, not bad)

Ok, I'll tempt fate in massive fashion...

Since I got my road bike in July I've had two punctures, one of which was a pinch flat caused by the drain incident two days after I got the SS. Granted, my weekly total commute is only in the region of 50 miles but I reckon that's over 800 miles per puncture.

    I really shouldn't have, should I?

2008. 7000 miles . 2 pf (one flint, one tyre failure - was down to the fabric)
    2009. 1500 miles . 1 pf (flint again)

I have more wheel failures than punctures.

PS - If I get one on the way home tonight, I'm gonna personally find you and slap you for starting this voodoo.

Zero! Usually I don't like games that have a similar scoring chart to golf, but in this case I do.

one last year, a screw managed to just get though all of the M+ took a while to deflate but it did, little so and so.

been a while since i've had a fairy visit on the MTB, and i haven't had one on the old roadie yet, which i've had for about a year but 2008 was a busy year so it didn't see a lot of road to be honest!

prawny - Schwalbe Ultremos. I love them. Having said that, after 1500 miles on the Focus, the rear tyre has developed some unhealthy looking bulges which I assume is to do with the fairly substantial cuts the tyre has acquired. I'll be changing it this weekend I think (for another Ultremo).

armour? helium? yoga? sholin? faustian contract? solid tyres?

(I tried the last one once, and suspect the pact with the devil would have been a better option)

I repaired today's P with my Lidl kit, glue everywhere and a very dodgy looking lumpy tube now.

No doubt it will be flat when I check later, does that count as two?

Had none for bloody ages but then 4 in the last month!:

    a) away for a week. come back and the rear is flat. Find a cut and a puncture. Have a spare tyre so replace tyre and tube.
    b) descending a 1 in 10 hill, in the rain, in the dark, I hit a stone or something. WHOOSH!!!! scariness ensues as I try to stop the bike with the rear brake while avoiding stripping the completely flat front off the wheel. Change the tube at the roadside. Get home - hmm, the conti ultragator has done 7000 miles and is looking distinctly shabby. But I dont have a spare.
c)Sure enough it is flat in the morning. The sidewall was so worn that the reinforcement in the tyre had puntured the tube. BAH. Cab to station. Buy new tyre.
    d) Decide that the tyres on my inner London station bike need some air. Take the dust cap off the rear and notice that the nipple of the Presta is missing. Hmmm. Attach pump, inflate, remove pump, WHOOSH!!! Not strictly a puncture but AGGGHHH

After that I've decided my bikes deserve new tyres and tubes all round.

I don't think I have ever had one! As a result I've no idea how to mend one either. I did have to replace a worn tyre last year but it never actually punctured.

Have done roughly 500 miles this year, and probably about 2,500-3000 the year before.

    Am not superstitious!

My first puncture this year was when my front wheel went down a pot hole I couldn't see as it was filled with water. The rim was ruined as well

Then last week I got 2 in the same day. I'd gone months without a puncture before Christmas. I think I need new tyres.

Or, what am I doing to avoid them?
