The funniest thing about CSI NY is the way that someone in the office is an expert on everything in the world ever. Especially 'Mac'. Greek Mythology? No problem. Numerology? Yep, know about that. Phrenology? Of course. Ancient egyptian medical practices? Absolutely. Need a marine? He's your man.

We do it while we are painting our nails..... drying our hair.... moisterising our skin... that sort of thing.
But it was a serious question! I have a sky+ in London and a sky+ in Essex full of shows I've recorded (CSI, QI, other bits) which I don't have time to watch... and that's only equivalent to about 4 shows a week max!
I don't get it. Where is the time coming from? Even with my experimental sleep schedule I don't have time for TV!
And you're single! What are you doing with your time?!
Actually I now watch a lot of TV while I'm on the Turbo - that's multi-tasking, man style.- 2023 Vielo V+1

I thought she spent every waking hour either (a) drinking; (b) killing the Joker's lego henchmen (I have no idea what this involves, but it sounds time-consuming; or (c) a mixture of (a) and (b).
Oh, and (d): posting here. Obviously.0 -

LiT I wake up early on Saturdays/Sundays before my girlfriend gets up and go bed late 12/1am after she has gone to sleep to play the X-box.... This as you can imagine (but I don't fully understand in that dumb Man way) is a point of contention. This led to us drawing up a list adding up our total TV time. We worked out that catching up on programmes is more time consuming than watching them when they are first on.
Of my other TV times:
Heroes is on a Monday's 45mins
Shameless is on Wednesday 1hr
Skins is on Thursday 1hr
Terminator Thursday 1hr
Star Trek Deep Space 9 is on every week day at 8 for an 1hr
It's not really that much.Food Chain number = 4

I sure don't spend any time working! Well, I spend a fair bit of time in the office, posting on here...
Outside office hours, I don't know really, cooking takes a fair bit of time, a lot of time spent chatting with housemates or out, and the x-Box, although meant as an occasional diversion, can result in lost hours. And there's reading. And talking to people/messing about on the interweb. And at the gym/pilates.
Socialising's the biggest one though.
What's more, I'm currently sleeping a maximum of 6 hours a night, with one 8-10 hour night on the weekend, which you'd think would give me more time...0 -

Why are you doing this?
To improve the quality of my sleep and make me less drowsy and tired, the theory being that if your brain learns that it gets fewer hours of sleep, it moves through the sleep phases into the deepest sleep more quickly, meaning that you need less sleep.
An extreme example of this (which I have never had the opportunity to do) is polyphasic sleep - google it if you're interested!
It's working...
EDIT: I've added up your viewing - 8 and 3/4 hours a week! That's quite a lot!0 -
