Every Thursday I rush home eagerly, despite the fact that Skins starts at 10pm....

Today's episode was about as perfect as it could get, JJ taking action with his drug fuelled disfunctional friends and getting laid at the end of the episode awesome! My favourite episdoe still has to be the one about Thomas though.

Does anyone else watch Skins? Do you find yourself rushing home to watch a TV programme?

I can sit and watch garbage on the TV for hours but there's nothing I particularly rush home to see.

Except the Tour de France highlights at 7 o'clock during July :D

    +1. The guy's incredible.

Mind you, I doubt I'd actually genuinely rush home - sky+ is a great invention!

EDIT: You all watch a lot of telly!

    Ooooooh is there? Excellent!

You do his whole recipes? I take bits from the book and mix them in with other things - haven't bothered with a whole one yet but I bet they're amazing if you do!

Yeah, I had the tasting menu - I don't really recall which wine - the bloke I was there with dealt with that! It was fantastic. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Actually maybe I'll book now for my birthday next year...

Used to watch Top Gear all the time on Dave but they seem to repeat the same ones regularly. Classic Mid-Engine Italian Super Cars For Less Than £1000 was still funny 2nd, even 3rd time round, but then it starts to wear thin...

I generally find it works pretty well, I have to say.
  • The majority of the time ie unitil about 9pm I have to swerve around the kids viewing - I can juts about cope with Family Guy

Skins and Shameless are my fave raves - but not that bothered about getting home in time what with replays and all.

When the mighty Clarets are on TV thats sacred

I avoid reality TV - try to read instead.

Lately I've got hooked on the Police Camera Action type shows on Virgin1.

Watching one last night, from 1995, a bloke I'd say in his 40's, riding a kids bike with his knees up near his ears. Going up a slow-moving, congested road, he's constantly trying to squeeze up the inside of a coach, with virtually no space. He gets about halfway past, realises he can't get through, then holds tight as the coach brushes past his again then tries again. Eventually he gets by in a small gap between the coach and a parked car, and gets promptly doored by the car  serves him right.

Followed by a clip of a guy riding along with a huge bucket of scrap metal on the rear carrier (how it stayed there I don't know) and another one on the handlebars, with both arms across the top of it and him leaning around the side of it to see where he's going. He was going fairly quick too, so what he'd do about evasive action I don't know.

Don't and won't have Sky. Had it when I was living at my parents consumes far too much of the day. However, Dragon Ball Z ruled the cartoons (on cartoon network back in the day), was a way of life and the last of the great kids cartoons. The amount of Superman vs Goku arguments I've had with other comic book geeks (the other being Unicron vs Galactus) The others great cartoons being being:

    Transformers Generation 1
    He-man
    Turtles

In recent times (circa 2008) the only thing on Sky I watched with any dedication was Star Gate Atlantis (but that wasn't as good as SG1 or other Sci-fi).

    Now I watch:
    Heroes
    Deep Space 9
    Star Trek Enterprise
    Terminator the Sarah Conner Chronicles
    Shameless
Skins (I don't miss Skins, ever is awesome, love the character and the structure)

My girlfriend forces me to watch:
    Come Dine with Me
    Gordon Ramsey
    Heston Blumenthal

(I refuse to watch Eastenders, Corrie and Emmerdale, only occasionally watch Hollyoaks in the hope Nancy is in it because she is fit!)

Hestons Feast was fantastic, only he could go to a sex shop as part of his dessert making process! The only time I would ever want to be a celebrity would be to get invited to one of his feasts.

Other TV I like at the moment:

High Altitude - i.e. Top Gear on snow.
Skins last night was good but I don't rush to see it just if I happen to be in.
My Name is Earl is great as is Family Guy

I used to make an effort to see The Mighty Boosh - gotta love the Boosh!
Didn't get to see any of the TDF highlights last year but did see it live on the Col de la Croix de Fer

Has that Sarah Connor thing got the lady who used to front Garbage (the band) in it?

Or am I confused? I saw a picture in the paper.

I regularly watch House, CSI (Vegas and NY - Miami if bored), top gear, heston (when he's on), and that's about it.

Why the fcuk did they cancel Firefly - that was an inspired show. Stupid, short sighted, culturally bankrupt Fox.
