Right, might as well get this started!
Usual story folks - most likely 9am at Richmond Gate in Richmond Park on whichever day ends up being the chosen main ride day 8)
I am a bit all over the place in terms of plans not being definite yet, but as my plan to go to Edinburgh for a weekend of riding looks to have fallen on it's ass and as I can't really be bothered to head back to Sussex to ride MTB, AND as I have no drinking plans this weekend I reckon there's every likelihood that I'll be hoping to get 2 decent rides in - hence the addition of a 'both days please' poll option this week! :P
Once again, any newbies / lurkers / people who might not respond on here but want to turn up are more than welcome so please do make the effort - it's ALWAYS good to ride with new people!
Make your mark and see you at the weekend

Definately both days for me, it's good to do some nice long rides two days in a row0
-
I might be up for both, but I keep talking about giving KW a visit so I'll vote Saturday and leave sunday open.
Any chance with the broadening daylight window to start at 8...or is that going to upset too many people?

Lurker here.
What is the route , average speed etc ?
Nice and sunny at the moment , I'm getting the urge to get out and ride. This weekend is looking rather free. Who knows , maybe the time has come !
'Follow Me' the wise man said, but he walked behind!0 -
Hi Snakehips. Courtesy of Phips, here's the 'classic' RPCC route:
http://connect.garmin.com/activity/1578992
Box Hill, Leith Hill and Ranmore are part of this loop which is 90km or so. No one is ever dropped
I'm on for Saturday. 9am...(please)0 -
Okay, nothing planned for saturday so I'm in! 8)
It's been too long.
Easy with start times..It's the vibe of the thing.0 -
I had a crash on Sunday night which took out my front wheel - thread here about it:

If I get my wheels sorted by the weekend I should be able to do Sunday
Thanks

Box Hill in under 7 minutes? Hmmmm.....better start working on a pass for this weekend...0
-
Right, Edinburgh is definitely out for me this weekend so now I just need to decide for sure whether I want to chill out on an MTB ride followed by cake back in Worthing on Sat then maybe a KW run on Sun, or do an RPCC run Sat and a KW run on Sun... :?
Hmmm, decisions decisions...!! :roll:0 -
I'll have to sit this weekend out, chaps - the SWRC Early Spring Sportive beckons on Sunday morning, so I think Saturday will either be a rest day or a gentle park laps day.
7 mins for Box Hill?? I'm 60 secs off that as of last week - let's see how spring pans out!
Might see you out and about on the Sunday - I'll be the one dropping off the back of a 250 strong group, probably. Wish me luck!!

greetings pop-pickers yet another another lurker here,a KW memeber and Quebrantahuesos entrant :x having talked(tell a lie, emailed & PM'd) to a couple of you,it sounds like a right royal rabble ,I cant join you out and about just yet ,but will make my debut last weekend of this month, can i request the Saturday (28th) as in the evening there is international football = beer, the clocks go forward (lose an hours sleep) and i have to work Sundays
And may I ask a Question or two
1. whats the ruling as to the last one up the hills ?
2.do you take the route out via Portsmouth Road,Surbiton(by the thames)
Here's in anticipation
8th March 2010,Spain ,Here I come !!!!!!0 -
Hello fellow KW member!
1. Not sure what you mean, are you asking does the last one up get a whipping or something by the other members of the group?
2. I think they ride out through hampton court way most of the time (correct me if I'm wrong guys), as I usually meet @ HC if I'm coming out too.0 -

Would be good to see you make an appearance Gezza, and chat about Fray Bentos.
1. No ruling on last. We all have our own targets so not really a race to get up first or last, just a personal race to beat our previous PBs.
2. We eventually end up on Porstmouth Rd but hit it further out of town via a back route away from traffic.

This could get expensive for me at the tea shop if things go, er, well
Perhaps we should make it teas on me for a sub 7 only if I do the same
Gezza - last one up buys the treacle tart for everyone0 -

What's your record for the climb?
7.10 - last and only effort of this year was 7.24, but I have lost 3 kgs since then and done some hill (well mountain warm weather training on my jaunt last week!) training since then so hopefully a little better, though I did lard out a little on mexican food so came back 1 kg heavier.
Hope to make it this weekend!0 -
