I frequently get out of the seat and pedal.

When I am on a bike my gender is entirely irrelevant.

I rarely get followed though, because I mostly ride on my own.

When I need to cross two lanes of traffic round the New Cross one way system, I always get out of my saddle and pedal. And magically a gap appears in the traffic...

Dude that's untrue! You do stand up on your bike. It's just that to everyone else it still looks like your sitting down!

If I'm standing up it's generally if I'm pushing away from the lights or "meerkatting" so I can find the best and safest route through the traffic jam that is Thornton Heath High Street.
The rest of my journey I'm sitting down in a state of zen like composure, positively oozing the complete opposite of trying :-D

I'm told when your sitting down on your bike you struggle to see over the handle bars...

OK I'll stop with the verticle jokes.

  • That picture is no help...........

    1. Chris Hoy is sitting down so we can't see his ar5e.
    2. The other chap (don't know his name!) has his covered by his t-shirt
    3. Middle guy clearly isn't a cyclist!

Sorry but that was just a waste of bandwith!

  • Well, much as his job would do, I'd prefer the job of the guy on the far left. I reckon he and sir hoy get to spend more quality time together...
