  • I found 3 teaspoons in separate places on a ride last month. Never seen them before or since. Do people just eat a yoghurt in the car and throw the spoon out the window, or what? :?

More likely to be spoons used by junkies, they heat uop heroin in them to make it liquid to inject, apparently!!
Give them a wide berth anyway.

I thought they used aluminium foil for that... anyway, that never occurred to me. I must be too naïve..

No,silver foil is used if you want to burn it and inhale the fumes "chase the dragon"
I am not and never have been a junkie by the way!!

i told the wife when i got home she would not let me out for a week  i wont tell her next time.
  • I remember cycling past an old woman standing at a bus stop. It all seemed fairly normal until she hoisted up her skirt, half squatted and proceeded to pee where she stood!
  • The Sunday after Christmas, I found a split-new sportsbag, containing unopened mail, bank cards, and a haul of 50p pieces. 12 paces on, there was a £5 note, a £10 note, and a woman's shopper bike.

Took the bag and money to the nearest plod station....took me well off my planned route...grrr

You know how you often see an odd shoe (i.e. just the one) or a workman's glove, well I have seen on separate a boxing glove and a flipper.

One of the best was when me and a mate were returning from a long ride on Dartmoor and on passing Plymouth Airport we noticed a small crowd of people standing on a corner looking in the direction of the runway. When we turned our heads to look, there was an aeroplane (a fairly large one) lying on it's side well off the runway! Fortunately no one was hurt.

I saw a similar thing on a thursday afternoon. Had just killed myself on a climb, then on the way down, in a wooded carpark I saw what could only be a very old lady (at least 60!), bobbing up and down, face first in the back of a car.

I didn't dare to find out what was happening...
Note: the above post is an opinion and not fact. It might be a lie.

I'm presuming it's urine, I haven't stopped to taste any but piss jugs seem to be common around here.

Porn seems to be abandoned by the roadside the world over........maybe I could have had a project if I'd carried on with that Sociology degree....hmmm.
My most intrigueing find whilst riding was a zimmer frame by the side of the road in the middle of absolutely bloody nowhere........that, and the front half of a wild boar in Spain. It was surgical - no rear end, no splatter marks.

    Re: people sexing in cars

I was going up a very quiet, and very steep hill, and was shattered so was going very slowly - going past a 'parked' car my glazed eyes peered in to see a couple at it hammer and tongs  my main concern was to put on a bit of speed so it didn't looked like I was leering in on purpose... Looking back I cn't help wishing I'd had the Air Zound back then!

A number of years ago i set off to work on a saturday morning 4.45am. I had to ride along a canal for about 6Kms. It was summer and fairly light, even at that time of the morning. I suddenly saw a wheel of a bicycle sticking out onto the cyclepath. As i approached i could see the complete bike. The bike was not locked and it looked as if it was just abandoned. I thought nothing more about it and moved the bike so that it was off the cyclepath and not causing a hazard for other cyclists. I cycled on and after about 300Metres could see in front of me, what appeared to be the body of a man. My heart started racing and i pedalled that little bit faster, as i approached i could see it was definitely a man. I pulled my gsm out of my pocket and jumped of the bike. I was just about to check for breathing or a pulse and as i grabbed his hand, he suddenly came to life. He screamed and said aaarggh. After a few seconds the man calmed down. i explained i thought he was hurt or even dead.
It turns out that he had been drinking with friends and after several hours was not feeling well. He decided to cycle home along the canal but was so drunk he could not ride the bike any longer so dumped it. He then set off walking but didn,t get much further. After a conversation of about five minutes i showed him where his bike was and he set off to go home. Looking back i had to laugh, but on a serious note on first seeing the man lying motionless on the ground i genuinely feared the worst.

Once found a perfectly serviceable rear wheel in the hedge. When I first spotted it I wondered if it was damaged in some way, but it was absolutely fine even the tub was fully inflated. Maybe it somebody had found it and hooked it onto the hedge so it was visible, like they do with wheel trims. Anyway, being less public spirited, I secreted the wheel in the ditch intending to pick it up on the way home.

A couple of hours later I arrived back to discover the wheel a few yards from where I'd left it, buckled like a Pringle and badly kinked. It had pretty clear boot marks on the rim and a few snapped spokes. Clearly somebody had decide to give it a really good kicking.

A double puzzle. What was a perfectly servicable good quality wheel doing hanging on a hedge on a virtually traffic free country lane? And who managed to find it in the bottom a hedge in such a secluded locaction and then, having done so, decided to trash it and why?
  • Out on my MTB one day, rding along a quasi-legal piece of track which led to some woods. Just as I got there, right in front of me was a near naked couple doing the horizontal samba.

I just yelled "carry on" as I rode on by!

I've also found an entire bathroom suite on a track before. I just don't understand it - it would have been less effort to go to the tip?
  • I saw a great white pig walking across the road and into a field of wheat. The strange thing is, there no pig farm for miles around. :?

Wasn't you that left those spoons lying around was it? There has to be some explanation for the halucination.
