  • I could be tempted tonight, I've got to go right past there. It's just with me that 1 tends to lead to 5 and suddenly I am eating dinner out before dancing the night away.

    And that's exactly the kind of behaviour that is frowned upon by THE BOSS and I am supposed to be making an extra special effort at the moment due to past transgressions.

    So in retrospect perhaps not...

    Have to do some pumpkins now. Hallowe'en's taken very seriously in this house.

    Now, where'd that goat go?

    :cry::cry: I didn't see anybody :cry::cry:

    Mind you I got there at about 5.30 and left at around 6.30. Too early perhaps?

    Anyway tonight I learnt a few things:
      cyclists in bright yellow and lights ride better than those without. I can't handle a large glass of wine without a large meal beforehand :oops: People who ride scooters are more dangerous than idiot cyclists

    An afternoon nap?! :shock: Were you listening to Radio 3 too?

    Well, I'm afraid I didn't make it because I went for one in The Dickens. And then one in the Town of Ramsgate. Another three in the Captain Kidd (great view over the Thames, and a great pint of Samuel Smith). And then a meal. :mrgreen:

  • Hmm, went outside to unlock bike at closing time. By this time it had started raining. Realised I was missing one glove. Managed to get back into the pub before they locked the door. A barmaid handed me my pump (didn't know I'd lost this) but not the glove. As they were all wearing halloween outfits I wondered whether one of them perhaps thought a cycling mitt might add the finishing touch to their goth outfits, but nobody was owning up. So I checked the toilets, patio, and the pub once more, before settting off wearing one glove, thinking dark thoughts. This morning as I was putting my gillet away, the missing glove fell out. Now, who put that there? I was perfectly compos mentis and it wasn't me :?

    And you accuse the staff of being goths? Though I have to say you're not doing a very good gothy job. Royal blue just doesn't scream undead/vampire/corpse bride to me.

    We usually hang out like yobs oggling bikes unless its actually raining otherwise LiT tells us all off for being inside when she eventually turns up. :D

    DDD and Smith were having an intimate moment and I didn't clock em either - they had to wave me over to one of the outside chair bench things. Smith did a very queenly hand wave with an over here request partly because he knew he owed me a drink and wanted to get that behind him...

    Hurrump!

    Just to let you all know I've seen my therapist due to Friday's no-show and she convinced me that it was unfortunate and that I shouldn't take it personally :roll: However, she also suggested that you all club together to get me a (small) glass of house white at the next gathering :P
