    I have a pass tonight.

I feel the need to show off my new bike.

    So beer tonight anyone?

I admire the fact you're thinking about beer so early in the morning but seriously new bike + rain !

    Are you crazy?

It was only light drizzle this morning. And it's got to get use to the rain sometime this is my commuter bike after all. When I buy the ti bike next year that'll melt in the rain so wouldn't be ridden on a day like today.

Unless you are talking about the combination of Beer, New Bike and Rain in which case http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/ ... a=Vauxhall has it sunny at 7pm and I was not planning on drinking heavily, then again I never do! Besides Vauxhall is but a short walk across the bridge where the safety of a train home awaits.

If not the Morpeth any one fancy a beer at Roebuck later?

Ti won't melt in the rain. It's a bike for life, not poncing about on sunny days. This statement obviously has nothing to do with me eying up carbon bikes I can't afford or justify.

Wanted to get 12.2 miles in tonight to hit 6,000 for the year. Could stop for 1 or 2.

Back by 9.45, unheard of. Apologies to Eke for seeing if he could hit 29mph on his 32x16 geared SS.
He couldn't, but pitchshifter would be proud of the effort.

Anyone heading down to the Morpeth tomorrow evening or is it currently a blackened shell?

Rare run through London for me tomorrow pm so would be nice to catch up with folk (or at least more than there were last time I was down - ie none!!)

Sorry can't do tonight. FNRTTC, to bognor, not a good idea to get drunk before a 70mile night ride. That's can wait until the morning.

Dammit! Look, this is a rare opportunity! This is typical of the disdain the South has for the North
