I just went to the bike shop and bought a spoke ( just the one ), a rim tape and a seat post collar.

It's that time of year when I have worn out my bikes and all kinds of bits need replacing

  • Had my Allez 09 nicked last month and was trying to get it replaced thru insurance to no avail. Couldn't find anywhere that had one left in stock. So i looked at the 2010 version and was pleased to see it was only £500 then disappointed to see that it is the 2300 groupset - not a great replacement. After some trawling i managed to find a Allez Sport 2009 for.... £599!!! Couldn't believe it - neither could the guy who sold it to me. Rode it home today and loved it. Overtook a taxi coming down City Road. Great stuff...

got some new brakes delivered yesterday, fitted them after work today...

Tested them properly on the way home in both dry, damp, and soaking wet conditions. They responded well in all conditions. Would happily recommend them to everyone!

I would point out that I'd only want that Maxima if I got a whacking great discount. It's somewhat beyond my (purely theoretical for the time being) budget, even then. "I don't like the colour" works for used cars, after all....But if I was riding it, I wouldn't have to look at it.
LiT's is lovely, think that Perfecta works really well, there's a Maxima with blue bits on Epic's site right now, but this is my favourite colour scheme of the Viners I've seen:

Huh, that's what the frame looks like without the top tube extension... I prefer mine... spot the difference!

I have to admit I am looking at a Perfecta, so bloody tempting. Especially in Red White and Black.

Put it this way look at any paramedic or technician in green uniform and that will be it. (uniforms standard across the country now accept for the Trust name on the badges) so not very sexy I'm afraid

I do wear another kind of uniform...referees uniform for football

I'm the short dumpy female one...obviously...with the sunburn which can be seen for miles around!

My excuse...refereeing is far more fun than watching or playing football. also irritates the hell out of players when they find a girl knows the offside law

Also the cycling does help in my refereeing a bit. I was the only one last week who didn't pull calf muscles, butt muscles, hamstrings or the muscles in the backs of my thighs. The muscles in my shins and fronts of my thighs however were a different matter.....jesus they hurt after 5 games in 4 days

Wow, that shirt is about the least flattering shape possible! Couldn't they, I don't know, ask H&M to do their bit for charity and design them a perfectly serviceable outfit that doesn't make them look like Quasimodo?

And the one I posted couldn't be less flattering either. I want my nurses* to be hot, dammit

And the irony is she's wearing the mens fit trousers because the women's fit ones make your arse look the size of a small country!

I'm not a small person by any means but I have to wear an extra small shirt because the sizings are that 'generous'!

    Female medical staff = doctors

    You mean female healthcare staff.
