Yes I know it's a bit clean but it was the first night before we'd even started riding on a week long holiday in Snowdonia last week!
  • Is this turning into a "Whose got the pimpiest 5?" thread?

  • Faff,

I hope you're not aiming your jibe in my direction.

I was out on it yesterday at Whinlatter, it was absoultely filthy, I just look after it and clean it properly!

If anyone's still interested, the new paint seems to be a lot tougher than on the old frame, so I'm happy again.

And I thought my Chrome Grey 5 was rare!

And here it is being ridden!

I added a bit of protection to my frame the other day, just to keep the chips and scratches at bay!

Sticky backed velcro on the swing arm, only £1.50 for 2 x 50cm lengths, but I only used part of 1. I've used the fluffy part and it also deadens the sound really well too.

Mancunianfightingcat, I'd stick some more on the inside of the swingarm (about 10mm width), continuing on from the strip you already have as that's where most of the chips on my swingarm are.

I'll find out how well/or not well insured I am today

I think this sad event requires a month long moratorium on posts about orange

it will be too upsetting for Andy_B otherwise

  • Really sorry to hear it Andy. By the way don't take no for an answer from the insurers, they tried to turn down a claim of mine on the basis I hadn't listed it but it wasn't a relevant fact to the claim.

By the way this is a proper muddy bike (and rider):

  • Fuck Andy, I'm sorry to hear that. Best of luck with the insurers.

Since I bought a dirtworker my bike also looks pretty immaculate within 10 minutes of finishing a ride. However, to appease the good father, I'll get some photos of just what the north of scotland's trails do to a bike.

Mine's still in a horrific state after the week in wales - would be fun to do an after shot seeing as the immaculate one above was from the night we arrived!

Mine still hasn't been touched after a spell in Grizedale forest during the GDBA Coniston challenge at the weekend.
Sorry to hear about your bike Andy.
