Did you believe it? I take his Pantani soignuer association to be something to judge him on...and the way he took the Aspin...come on...you have never seen anything like that in 20 years of watching TDF and you know it. Not even the most doped of all could do that alone...only an Armstrong or Pantani at their peak could have tried to handle Ricco yesterday. Still...let's see the times at Alpe Du Huez...anything below 40 minutes is suspect..
In 25 years of watching the Tour I've seen a lot of attacks by climbers in the mountains. Funny that.

Ricco gained 1 minute in 5 kms, so averaged 20 seconds per kilometre against a bunch riding tempo. It is utterly credible when you look at it like that.

If you're so good at spotting dopers you should apply to the UCI, I believe they could do with some help.

:D I am not that bad at spotting dopers after all. Thanks fcuk Ricco is positive and banned from the sport ...ban him for life

it was very obvious...no human can take off like a motorbike on a col without the juice. All the talk of advances in tech and training...2 arms, 2 legs, 3% body fat...same as 20 years ago but riders are much faster now...bikes are lighter but does not explain ALpe Du Huez. Lemond and Figno were doing 41 and 43 minute ascents of Alpe Du Huez in 89 and.

I could not believe my eyes at the pace of Ricco...he must be banned for life...it is time to ban for life now...it will not stop doping any better than a 2 year ban but at least stop vermin like Basso and Ricco returning to deprive someone clean of a spot in a good team...that for me is a good enough reason to have life bans...they will not deter doping though

    Fair comment, I think.
However, Alberto Contador was doing exactly the same thing, battling the plucked chicken, last year. He showed an even greater ability to use explosive pace, plus turn in unbelievable long, flat time trials.
Yet, he is considered by many to be the second coming.
Surely, using these parameters, we should be questioning his remarkable performances
and placing him in your vermin catagory, along with Lance Armstrong?
His Alp D'Huez times are only a handful of seconds behind Il Pirata's.
