Anywho,
You do realise your still wrong about fixed term, permanent contracts and notice period.
And staff won't suddenly look for fixed term contracts in an effort to find more job security when they already have permanent contracts. To do so would be bizarre.
Another opinion expressed as a fact. Right/wrong is subjective. Or do you speak for all "staff" due to your awesomeness?
When facing likely (or at least possible) redundancy, the sensible ones would.
If you post something on a public forum then you can't restrict who it "concerns". If you wish to have a private conversation, send an e-mail.
And that should be "you're".

Can you use Fish Street Hill (left turn just before you cross LB) to then turn right onto Upper Thames Street? Sure I've used that before.......
After that follow rjst suggestion and try Queenstown Road, now my default route in! That + Embankment whoops the a$$ off CS7! Can be boring being the alpha rider all the time at least riding along there I can get taken down a few notches occasionally :-)0 -

Ah I see what you mean. A bit more technical but also more fluid. - Means I don't have to ride over the pavement and wait at the lights. to join the Embankment.
Agree on the whole CS7 and Kennington past Elephant Castle to London Bridge route. If you can ride at 23mph for more than 20secs it makes you the alpha cyclist and I don't feel like I'm being pushed.
Maybe the Embankment will be like a promotion to the Premiership!
Edit: OK here I go.Food Chain number = 4

That sounds like interesting route, getting bored with E&C > Kennington > Stockwell, Embankment to QTR. Then what? Straight accross Clapham Common to Clapham South to pick up A24 again? I assume there's a tarmac path accross CC and cyles allowed etc.
Oh in case it's relevant final destination is Worcester Park......

I think you can cut across the Common but I just follow the road round and pickup the A24/CS7 again by Clapham South.
As I move around offices quite a bit I can be rather flexible with my routes and I seem to remember using that route onto Upper Thames Street once when I was heading back from that area and fancied doing a proper extension over Wandsworth Bridge :-)
This week and next I'm working right on top of Trafalgar Square so using Whiteahall to Parly Square and seem to be hitting the race strip a bit to early for most on here......still finding other foes tho so it's not all bad!0 -
Getting back to how to get onto Embankment from Bishopsgate/Liverpool St way, I prefer oging up past Mansion House then past Blackfriars (not through the tunnel) and hang a left, down the ramp and join Embankment there. That always feels safer than taking the tunnel, not because the tunnel is dangerous but the cars coming off the ramp that feeds down always scare me as they edge out :shock:FCN3: Titanium Qoroz.0

Well, despite being at the bottom of Queen Street at 6.30, I didn't see DDD. Not much chance of any SCR until after P. Sq. though, as Vic. Emb. was stacked again. Nice and fast after that though. No serious competition around when I went through, just a couple of RLJer roadies - one very sweaty guy in non-cycling shorts and t-shirt on a matt black Langster, and a guy with rather small green and yellow shorts on a lime green and white Trek. Missed out on what looked like being some decent action with a guy on a red steel frame with black and white Independent Fabrications jersey due to him sneaking a cheeky late amber.
I'm not sure if it was the malt loaf or the extra mug of coffee, but I felt much better this evening, to the extent that I took the long route down to Wandsworth Bridge.
Let us know how you got on DDD.1985 Mercian King of Mercia - work in progress (Hah! Who am I kidding?)

Thanks for this route much more fun than CS7. 1 Mile longer, home in same time . Impressed myself with 14.5 MPH Average (Total Time) from Old Street to Clapham South station! The cycle path across Clapham Common is great, nice smooth tarmac, no pedestrian as they have own path
Going to try it in reverse in the morning.
All being well tomorrow is big day in my cycling commute history, first time all 5 days in week. Already at 120miles this week, should be 150 by tomorrow evening. Hopefull I'll recover enough by morning to finish the job. Not bad for a 18 stone bloke on a hybrid!

Left at about 6:15 and no sign of DDD either. Had a rocking battle with a guy on a baby blue framed SS who was earing a white top and had bull bars. Battle raged from Mansion House all the way to Lotts Road. No quarter asked or given and the result was an honourable draw. I'd made a couple of breaks but the various TL's put paid to that. The only fly in the ointment was a guy on a carbon Willier we picked up a VB. The 2 of them led me away from the lights with SS man in front. Willier man then did the slowest ever overtake, taking about 1 minute of 1/2 wheeling to get past. Not clever of safe. He turned off at CB leaving the 2 of us to duke it out. Chapeau!
To make all of this talk easier to resolve, we could all meet at the O'Neils by Canon Street for a pint before hitting Embankment for the run homewards. Imagine an SCR peleton. NOTHING WOULD STAND IN OUR WAY! :twisted:FCN3: Titanium Qoroz.0 -

Ooooooooo: minutes between us.
Twas fun after Parlt Sq.
Indeed it was. Nearly made it to 30 just after CB, but the traffic backed up a bit by AB. Got stuck around 3 or 4 Nat Exp coaches all side by side.
Whilst waiting behind one coach, I spotted a lady wearing all red kit and helmet, and sporting a very distinctive red vine/leaf tattoo on her right calf. Bar tape also matched, but she had yet to respray the frame. Difficult to tell whether she was quick or not because of the traffic, but she gave that impression.1985 Mercian King of Mercia - work in progress (Hah! Who am I kidding?)

Think I received a compliment from CJCP (Sigma Attica) on the commute home - if so thanks. Gave me a target to chase down Chelsea Embankment as opposed to trying to lose the Fixie who insisted on drafting me the whole way from Westminster. Nearly extended the route home to continue the chase but turned off at Battersea Bridge.0

Welcome!
Yellow mtb with nobblies? We exchanged words at the lights before the railway bridge? Yep, that was me. You were caning it through DSC to those lights, and don't think you were that far behind along the stretch to AB.

Yeah - managed to maintain the gap down from Chelsea Bridge but you were chasing down a Kingston Wheeler who had jumped out of the saddle for a sprint.

The stretch to Parlt Sq needs to be a neutral zone, though - bit more space thereafter.FCN 2-4.

Nothing worse than realising half way through the commute you have forgotten a fresh pair of underwear for the day. Therefore having to ease off and let all them earlier scalps zip past you murmuring under their breath "he's blown" or "he cant hack the pace!"
5 miles of misery proceed, only to find when you get to work you did remember to pack your "fresh pair of underwear for the day" and all them scalps could of been avoided and more could have been taken.
Not only that, the Pope is shutting of PS and Milbank these evening anyone planned any alternative routes to get to putney bridge?0 -
Don't do it today - Papal visit is going to cause a few traffic problems & diversions to say the least - lots of roads closed esq Parliament Square/Millbank/Albert Embankment etc...

Nobody of real note out there this morning. Castelli shorts on a dark cannon ss had some beans but pavement pansied so I crossed off the list of viable hares. Old geezer on hybrid needs to sort and grease his gearing but points for effort off the lights. Stupid fecking mini driver who gave a massive scare lurching as if you cross in front of me but didn't in the end.
