    I forgot about the silence.

    But hey, never mind.

That attitude is wrong on many levels.

Hope LiT doesn't mean that as it reads. Annoyed with missing it myself.

I guess LiT means it's too late to do anything about it, rather than what it stands for is unimportant.

    LiT, seriously

Today's rant: wind. I f'ckin' hate wind. One of the drawbacks of sunny Aylesbury is that it's the bottom of a valley thing so wind whips along ALL THE TIME and on windy days it's almost dangerous, as for my route it's a sidewind.

Oh, and the usual RLJing, trendy single speedy no lights tw*ts. F**k off the lot of you.

It's just a hill. Get over it.

    You cyclists who rant.

You know, you yelling, swearing, swerving, window-thumping, bumper- kicking, middle-fingering, self-righteous knobs who think you have priority over everyone on the road, and go mental at every: driver who brakes slightly harder than you would like, overtakes marginally too close or causes you to dab your brakes slightly to avoid a collision; ped who crosses on ambers or takes slightly too long to cross; or taxi driver who has the audacity to pull over to pick up clients 20 metres ahead of you, causing you to slow slightly and move out around them.

They've probably added 0-5 seconds to your journey time. A journey where you've RLJ'd 8 times, undertaken 38 cars at lights and ridden across the pavement 4 times, you hypocrite.

Oh, and whilst you think you're saving the world by banging on his window yelling swear words, you're actually making yourself look like a twat, and destroying the already fragile relationship between us cyclists and the rest of the world.

Chill the feck out, smile, be nice, let people pull out and let peds cross. You'll be amazed how much fun cycling is and how much more willing your colleagues will be to talk to you if you're not spouting on about "that wanker in the X5 who should learn to fecking look before he pulls out". You'll also arrive at work feeling great, and without that overwhelming desire to post a pointless helmet video of the offending car/ped/bus on youtube which actually only serves to prove what a bad-tempered inconsiderate cyclist you are.

I agreed with the troll until he accused all cyclists of RLJing. Then he just made himself look like a cyclist hater.

I think that's my point, this is the place to do it, not out on the road.

I don't think all cyclist RLJ, but those who kick off constantly at motorists often do.

P.s. Trolling? Really? So it's fine to slag off people who don't read this forum (including old people in mobility scooters ffs) but not a cyclist who does?

Usually, it feels like I am the only cyclist who does stop at red lights.

Argh! Bloody cyclists that assume they're the only one that stops at red lights. Sometimes I think I'm the only cyclist that stops at red lights AND is aware that others do too.

Wow, what a reaction. Shows I've hit a nerve.

Re-read the post. It was aimed at angry ranting cyclists, not every cyclist on the street.

If you are a ranting, angry cyclist, feel free to disagree with me and prove your behavior is justified. Otherwise, if you are a friendly cyclist, the post wasn't aimed at you, so please don't be offended.

Ah I was just poking fun, the correct response was to rant about people thinking they're the only cyclist that stops at red lights AND is aware that others do too.

OT, but idiots who write to Feedback on R4 saying how brilliant it was to have 30 seconds worth of silence on PM on Remembrance Day, and can it be done more often, perhaps in minutes, or even hours.

Gawd what a twonk. If the sound coming out of your wireless displeases you so much that you feel obliged to let Roger Bolton and the rest of us know about it, why not just switch the thing off at the mains and have unlimited silence out of it, instead of being a smug tw@t who thinks it's somehow clever to waste a minute of airtime by writing logically unsound emails just because you can.

Some people are too stupid to be allowed near a computer. There should be tests to stop them. Or the BBC could at least lob these sort of letters straight to dev/null. Gits.

lol, Radio 4 is a broad church.... Personally I think the anachronistic old eccentrics/bores that pop up on Feedback and Any Answers? every so often add to the charm :)

    Bah. PF. Leave me alone.

Given as I'm running reasonably new tyres, the attention is somewhat unwarranted.

Hopefully the arrival of 10 new inner tubes this morning will serve to cause you to cast your affections elsewhere.

Failing that, I'm actually so fed up with inflating tyres that I'm going to buy a new mini-pump.

Socks. I know I wore a pair of them and took a pair of them off and put them in the laundry basket, aka chucked them in the corner of the bedroom, so why when it comes to washing can I only find one of the pair?
Another one. Biscuits that break halfway through a dunk leaving a cup of tea with biscuit swimming around in the bottom.

Asprilla, you're a massive hypocrite. Having spent many a thread ranting at inconsiderate cyclists who strap portable suns to the front of the bikes in an effort to blind everyone else and tonight someone coming the other way called me a nasty name and pointed out that my lights were very bright indeed.

    I'm sorry.

I'll realign my lights down this weekend.

    Sorry again..
