W@nker drafting me this morning at about 16mph on segregated shared use path with my 3YO kid on the back!!!
I took advice from earlier post and 'had a word' shouting "Back off or go past!"
To which he replied "I'm trying"

    Yes. Yes you are... w@nker

Few years ago had to recover wife and bike, since someone had been drafting her on the shared path, when she stopped to by gate to The Park, draftee couldn't stop as they had no brakes so wife's bike had its gears trashed!

To whoever ordered a westerly tailwind last night, Thanks. For the one night that I needed to head west, rather than east!

according to windsock it guestimated it's affect at 250w... bloody felt like it, that's for sure, and I could of done with that to beat my strava PR if I was going the other way...

Had my first puncture in 4 yrs because of flooded pothole around drain on the Parliament sq diversion, really pinged off. What's the deal with reporting this? Obviously very dangerous

Pissing useless Neighbours, no idea what they are doing with their extension, me trying to get them to do things competently and deciding to bill them for using the party wall (only to try and use this as leverage to get them to do other things properly) I paid for now means they've mistakenly started pushing that i've built on their land and are jeopardising our house sale.

This puts my neighbour rant into perspective. For dinner, they either have - what smells like - deep fried babies' nappies or a barbecue. Barbecues are antisocial as f***, IMO.

Even better, mine are using Korean builders who live in an out building and have a bbq every night and put all the food waste in their skip stinking out the street and causing fly problems!

Do I get extra points for hitting dumb *rs* joggers who are too busy worrying about Strava times to look properly when running out into the road from between two vans?

I knew, which makes the jogger running out in front of me with my fluorescent yellow waterproof (boil in the bag) jacket, helmet and gloves all the more annoying. And not to mention the 700 lumen flashing light.

I got caught in the rain at 12:20 this afternoon too, luckily for me it was more drizzle than rain so had a cooling effect rather than a drowning effect. The guys who got into work 45 minutes after me found the heavier rain.

Stupid sodding blind sodding stupid bloody pedestrians!

You wouldn't look at a bus trundling towards you then step out directly in its sodding path!
I'm about the same size as a sodding bus, but I'm obviously having a sodding invisible day today so you just crack on!

I've managed to stay upright since 2008 (barring a few MTB tumbles) and now I'm sat in the sodding train seething, aching & oozing.

My newish bike has been recalled by the manufacturer due to issues with the fork. Although it's good that the recall is being done for safety and the lbs are being good and looking after the whole thing it is bloody frustrating to be on leave for a week without nice new bike to ride.

Thought I was cracking along OKR nicely this morning, when the superhuman roadie came screaming past so fast that I lost 50 man points and am now ashamed of my general lack of fitness. Think is shorts said something like Nova Racing 34? Calves looked like they were chiselled out of granite. I hate some people ;)

Speaking of which: second close pass in as many weeks - worth chatting with the company maybe? (15 second clip)

    Yes. And the police.

Emailed the company and got a very nice reply back within half an hour saying they will address it with their driver. I was quite impressed by the quality of the reply. That'll do for me on this occasion.

Bought a new car about a month ago, called the council about transferring the parking permit as per the instructions on their website. Was told that the website is wrong and needed updating but I could print off a form and should send that in. Had to wait for proof of ownership to come through before sending it off which I did on the 18th of July. Got back from holiday yesterday to find it's all been returned to me with a letter dated the 7th August saying that they don't supply printed permits any more it's all on line. Look at the website and it changed on the 24th July, almost a week after I sent the form. Total and absolute shower of shite.
I may be a little more intolerant because I have just got back from a glorious holiday to find it's bloody October or November.

Blinding low sun. Just about the most dangerous thing around.
This morning's side street Merc pilot with the visor down and dark glasses on I don't think could see her own steering wheel let alone me. Duly pulls out and nasty incident avoided by a matter of inches...

I just caved in and ordered a new set of tyres to replace unworn Vittoria Rubino Pros (28mm). The Vittorias are comfy, smooth rolling tyres but have sh|te all grip in the wet, even at low pressures. I thought I'd try and get a bit of use out of them but they're just too sketchy in the wet.

Got to Loughborough Junction and rear wheel starts to feel a bit boggy. Then I start to feel the rim on ever little bump. Decide against stopping under the rail bridge as screw stopping on that estate. Walk on and find a dry-ish spot and change tube. Get out trusty mini pump. Attach. Why aren't you inflating! Take pump off and inspect. Clearly something has broken.

Now, half way between Brixton cycles and Bon Velo in HH and both will be shut before I can walk, or even cycle, to either.

Set off walking with the aim to flag someone down. Flag down about ten people none of whom has a pump... Really?!

Give up and call neutral service vehicle.

After two years without a visit She Who Will Not Be Named has taken revenge in fine fashion.

    New pump ordered.

Couldn't find my overshoes this morning.

Finally found them attached to an old pair of shoes that I'd obviously designated as "wet weather shoes" much earlier this year. Got them on and left the house.

Shoes feel odd. And slightly uncomfortable. And looser.

No innersoles in. And it was too late to go back home and change them.

    Massive fk off rant.

Some guy went into the back of me at the zebra crossing at the end of Lower Richmond road. Absolutely clattered me. I had a quick look at the back mech and it 'seemed' fine. Pedaled a bit, still seemed fine, rode over Putney bridge, still seemed fine. Changed down at the traffic lights and the whole rear mech sheared off and went straight through my back wheel.

Luckily it only looks like the hanger is snapped and the frame is OK. Three spokes gone on my new Zondas as well though.

And I had to carry my bike to Putney station and get a train into Waterloo.

The LBS won't be able to fix it today as they haven't got a hanger in stock (or the right spokes for that matter).

    Reasonably annoyed right now.
