Welcome to Eurosport - it's live so stuff shifts about.

Guys over in pro-race will tell you - always record the prog before and after - especially if they're highlights and not live - as other live stuff will take priority.

For GT stages you can often miss the end if you don't record the next prog afterwards - if it's a slow race they can finish 30 mins after the planned time.

Ummmm...now to me that rather looks like your saying that it wouldn't normally be with the wife. Now - if that means you would normally be on your own then fine, but if it means you usually go to Lyme Regis with someone else then you may have some explaining to do...

    Bbb 'Waterflex' overshoes

Absolute, unadulterated shoite. I know I'm probably expecting too much, but I've never had a pair of overshoes last less than a month before. The 10 quid ones I got from Decathlon a couple of years ago lasted longer and were more waterproof than these!

Swapped the front/rear tyres as the front is newer and rear more worn at the weekend, a PF visit last night and noticed a large bald patch on the rear tyre so set about trying to find a shop with stock of Conti GP4Seasons in 25mm.
Looked at Evans for a Wiggle price match but Wiggle have no stock but was in B'ham so tried to blag it instore at Evans but the the till bod was on the ball and called my bluff so I left the shop empty handed. Spotted a Cycle Surgery so popped in and the tyres were three different prices for 23, 25 & 28c with the 28s being the cheapest. I asked at the till why this was and was told 28c is more popular than 25c which is why Wiggle are out of stock, as well as the different prices for different sizes the tyres were marked at one price but scanning at the till gave a price of £10 more. Now found Evans will price match CRC so sorted for tomorrow.

This evenings ride home - fastest ever on the cx - yet strava shows no PBs, not even a second or 3rd best time - not even for this year ...... All because I've ridden the same route faster too many times whilst on my winter road bike..... So I'm knackered and nothing to show for it :(

    Oh well - it's all training ;)

It's worse than that. I was showing her a particular stretch where they'd basically cut down a load of trees and cleared a load of fields to build a new supermarket. 1/2 mile stretch that, to be fair, looks totally different to last week. Living the dream.

Mine squeaks too. It's the saddle rubbing on the rails at the front. Insulating tape on the inside of the saddle and the rails solves it until it wears through.

It's annoying, but not annoying enough to get me off the sofa and into the garage to put more tape on.

I've just been moonlighting on the road forum. Are they ALL retarded, or only the ones who post?

"My crank arm is bent. Is this a problem?" Well, yes. "Can I bend it back?" Well, no, but please video your efforts.

"I use citrus degreaser on my chain after every ride. This evaoporates the water." Wow. Thermodynamics has no place here. Plus, are you unemployed? I mean, surely the first thing you do after each ride is either (a) log on at work, or (b) feed the cat?

Greased all the contact points last night and stuck some electrical tape on the rails and it seems better this morning. Will have a longer ride at the weekend and see how it goes!

Put more tape on the cambium and it seems to have mostly stopped but now I can hear my bottom bracket making a racket!

Other rant could go one of two ways- its either directed at the Kingston Wheelers member in the white soft shell or at the driver of the white Peugeot following him and filming him with an iPad. If the wheeler asked to be filmed, you are an idiot, you slowed people down on Lodgebottom Road and your film crew were taking up the whole road. It was even worse up MAMIL mecca, again the car took up the whole road which is even worse on Box Hill as its much busier. If you hadn't asked to be filmed and the car was full of some mad stalkers then they are bloody idiots. Gah!

2 - my front derailleur has gone...again!!!! ARRGGHHHH it's just not shifting at all. And I'm pretty much useless as fixing anything.

Rant at self: always always always make sure you file and KEEP the odd-sized doohickeys, thingummies and wotsits that you remove from a bike for re-use at some future point. Preferably somewhere you can find the sodding things again.

Left home today and shared the first red light with a blue Renault, due to the nature of traffic and bikes I was ahead till he caught me up a mile and half after we first me, he made his presence known as I climbed a small hill with parked cars beside me by using his horn. Every traffic light he stopped at I caught up and passed him till the 3 mile mark where I sailed past as e was stuck in queuing traffic.
