tomxc Dalby's do-able on a Claud Butler, my mate used to do it on a Cape Wrath D27 until he got a full susser!

Will, I'm the one who leaves Panaracer Fire xc tracks ;) (on an Orange 5)

Weekends are not really feasible for me, Tuedays are good (shop's closed) but I'm busy for the next month helping my mate with his wedding (I'm the best man)

SPD's I did ride with flatties for about 15 years, converted to SPuD's 2 years ago, much prefer them for the riding I do

i ride SPD's and i agree with andy...for some reason it seems easier to pedal, matbe coz your pushing down and pulling up, also if need be you can lift your bike clean off the ground (wich is useful if you cant bunnyhop)

He had a '05 CB D27 (His Missis has it now)

I used to do Dalby on an Orange Gringo (80mm travel & 'V' Brakes)

P.S. I can bunnyhop without cheating ;). I just prefer the feeling of being attached to the bike & not having to worry about foot position on the pedal.

Same technique bunnyhopping any bike really, except with sus forks you can preload the fork & use it's rebound to help the front end up. Have you tried dropping your saddle when you're mucking about & bunnyhopping?

The Freeride stuff's location is a bit secret, these guys are the builders http://www.trailblazerz.net/index.php?go=home

The snappage happened on Dalby's black route, luckily quite near the end.
