Yeah, this needs the Dave B & co getting the ear of someone high-up the hierarchy of the likes of BP - there's a bit of history there, the funding required would be a drop in the ocean of BP's promotion spend, good for their (alleged) environmental agenda etc. With last year's TdF and the track success, cycling's profile is (relatively) high in the UK. Dave B's right to strike while the iron's hot...

Both squads are Irish registered. Hell, Jack Charlton put together Irish soccer teams with even more tenuous connections than those two. They just have to sign Damian O'Cunego and we're "away for slates"

The skangers have been happy enough under the 'jack for generations. Seem to remember they were somewhat irate with the 1916 shenanigens (when they weren't too busy with the greasy tills).

Yep. Notice there's even a bit of green on both team's kit. Makes em more Irish than Cascarino. Can we have Paul O'Bettini while we're at it.
