I've got a new job that I'm starting soon based in Brentwood, is the nearest ride on here the Thorndon one? i won't actually be able to go for a while as I'm at the new job for 4 days then going away to get married for three weeks but after thati'm well up for it! What sort of times do you guys meet up and how long do you usually ride for?
I haven't time to look throught the 70 odd pages lol

Ah that's OK then, I'm not all that fast! I didn't realise there were trails near the ski slopes, I'll have to try and make it down for a sunday

Freyrning is on my way back home by the way, I should be able to start riding there in November, just in time for a massive lights upgrade!

you will need massive lights  its not the most technical or the most demanding etc but we do start and finish at a pub  just what you need on a mid week ride.

They were much better than the previous week, more muddy puddles than muddy trails.

If it doesn't rain in the next few days it will be pretty dry again. :D

It was a Billy no mates ride for me, still I hardly stopped for two and a half hours.

Conditions were pretty slippery after all that rain, add to that wet leaves and tons of sweet chestnut, wished I'd had the mud tyres on.

    Yep, agree with Robert.

Was over there yesterday AM, has a few skectchy moments with mud and leaf litter!

Bike cleaned up surprisingly quickly though.

Bracing myself for regular cleaning now

Have to say that Thorndon is my favourite local. I'd say Langdon (which my riding bud prefers) is more 'alll weather' but I do love getting muddy
