well, being a fashion victim, it seemed silly not to stick some red Corsas on them too...

I think you need some white bar tape (fizik perhaps) to match the saddle though. Then it'd look even better.

I am taking her to the Etape this year. :-)

How much did you pay for zeroes? I have fulcrum 7 on my bike and am looking to upgrade.

They look superb on your bike. Fulcrums are great wheels.

Fantastic looking machine. Love the wheels. I second the white tape idea though.

I'd also be interested to know how much you paid for them?
It's my long-term plan to invest in a set of red Zeros for my red Izoard. Can only afford (well... credit card ) to buy it with Fulcrum 3's at present.

How's the training going? I just realised its only 3 months to go. Am afraid. Very afraid.

I got them for £590 from Winstanley Bikes.

Dombo6 - yes, I am fairly afraid too. I bought the DVD of the route to see what we are letting ourselves in for. It annoys me when I hear "it's an easy Etape this year"

Looks plenty hard enough for me!

As I live in Oxon, it's hard to get proper climbing experience. My Sunday ride is now up to about 110k without a rest stop, but it's those mountains that scare me! And they don't start until you've already ridden 100k!

    ooo-err!

Man, that's so red, if you crash and spill blood on the bike - no one will notice!

Do Fulcrum do wheels with Shimano compatible freehub bodies or is that a special cassette you've got?

nice - wheels look great - very smart.

makes me wonder if I should have looked at those for my roubaix - went for the campag eurus as they were on a good price in ribble - but wow - those look good!

Just took them out for the first time and they FLY! A real difference.

pliptrot - I got them with SRAM hubs and they fit the Ultegra compact cassette just fine.

    hey MegaCycle,
love your new wheels! your whole bike looks pretty impressive - definitely an etape victory for you on that lovely machine

I'm going to upgrade mine - perhaps to fulcrum 3 or ksyrium (sp?) elite. Sound like I know what I'm on about there don't I? :D I'm just repeating what the man in the shop said today

They were about £400 so my spa day saving tin is going to get raided!

You sound completely up on the technology to me, my dear.

How was the Cheshire cat thingy?
  • is that a cateye hrm/wireless computer on the stem? if so how did you get it on there?
  • Hi there.

20 posts in and no-one has given you a row for not lining up the valves and tyre labels...

Where's the moderator on this forum!

    Yup.

It looks right, and helps you find the source of a puncture after you've taken the tyre off.

When you look at someone's bike and they've got the labels lined up, you can be fairly sure they've got everything else done right too...

Well, labels is one of those little things isn't it. Just makes it smart and its no extra effort. On the other hand, I wouldn't be that arsd if I saw someone elses bikes with labels not lined up!
Its amazing the things people notice when a pic of a bike goes up "oooh, I can't see any grease in the heads of your chainset bolts, they'll be prone to rust".

haha...here's one I've just spotted! Your front QR is on the right. Convention states that both should be on the left. I'm not joking either...that is actually one of those things people look for.
