no worries mate, dalby was a bit icy and boggy in places on wendsday, but me and giggsmaster know it well,so we can do diff parts of dalby to suit everyone, some great downhill sections, fair enough you have to do a bit of uphill to get there, but nothing to hurt you to much, depending on how you feel, can do anything from 12 mile upto 25 mile,12 mile normally takes us about a hour and half, but thats stopping to have a chat and get some grub and fluids inside of us,and we normally take a few pics or videos on mobiles......if you type mac71ncheese in the search on you tube, ive posted a few vids of us at dalby on there mate.......about a year old now,but you might get a feel for it......
  • Cool ill have a look see bud, sounds like you watch a lot of "freinds" with that name haha, reading that bit about downhills made me a bit nervous actually as a couple of months back a few of us went to little switz (humber bridge country park) and were pretty surprised about how unskilled and unconfident we all were and a lot of the stuff we used to ride and pull air off when we were kids just seemed too scary or unridable and thats gotta be like nursery school compared to dalby

our lass is the one who watches friends mate, she was the one who came up with the name,i put the 71 in for year i was born......the downhills at dalby are as hard as you make them mate,me and giggsmaster have got more confident after riding them so many times,we use to take it easy first off,but now we ride them as hard as we dare, which is slow to some ppl who get big air when they do it,so we aint that good on them mate,we ride them at night as well, which is good fun as it opens dalby up so much,so diff riding at night then during the day,its good fun tho,we dont come off big style tho,as like i said, its downhill but you ride it as good as you are, youll have to join us mate,we dont push it that hard, just take our time,as we cant afford the time of work with injuries.....
  • Its definately a place i want to get to ride/know next year and you guys sound like pretty good guides then if you do the place regularly, would have to be fairly knowledgeable of the place to want to do it at night though but bet thats a right good laugh.

Im glad i got told about this site as i had no idea there were so many local bikers, should be good to get up to dalby sometime though, youll have to give us a shout next time youre going, but ill def need to invest in a lid and some other bits and bobs first though!

dalby is good mate, but if you ride it to much it gets a bit boring,as not that much to do really, thats why we try to diff bits each time we go(make ride up),its great at night,as you shit youreself if youre waiting at bottom to take pics of other rider coming down or video.......we went on halloween,im sure i saw sumthing in front of me that was there one min then was gone,i had to wait for giggsmaster as my heart was in my mouth.......you see rabbits/foxes as well, you can be riding along then all you see is eyes light up in youre lights in front of you........if you want a lid mate, get mbr, they are giving one away if you subsribe for the year, might have to go on there website to see about it tho, think it was last months....deff keep in touch mate....as like i said we go to balby or do other rides around moors/or peak district, have to see how many are up for rides out of hull, the more the better......

me and giggsmaster(my bro)was going to see if any of you where doing a ride on sunday, ill have a word with bro saturday to see if he still fancies it......

we have just got back from lake district today, bro did 5 rides in a week,i did 2 rides in the 2 days i was there, did walna scar road on new years eve(hope to post pics on here),and did grizdale forest on new years day,did about 20 mile over the 2 days, but walna was a hard slog, took us a hour and half to get up to the top, only 3 miles but took a few pics along the way,and it was 6 miles back, lol, which only took us 45 mins to get back down to where we where staying.....

we will prob go up to dalby or peaks again in the next couple of weeks,so give us a shout when youre ready..........hope to meet you at skidby on sunday........

well me and giggsmaster cant make it saturday mate,as we are passholders at city mate and would be pushing it to get back for game, plus we went last sunday and its not very good for riding at moment mate,id stay clear of it for a month or two,its very muddy and rutted, and parts of it are getting closed on red route due to this.........

we are however going to castle bolton on sunday for a ride round there if you fancy that, will be doing between 15-20 miles, takes about 2 hours to get there in car.......hoping to get there for about 9-30am,deff 3 of us at mo,maybe 4 if our mate dont cry off again??????

me and giggsmaster are deff doing the dalby/freetown night ride mate,so hopefully see you there, bro was in freetwon during the week and its still on,we are just going to use our tesco lights we got, weve used them before, and they did the job for us round dalby, they dont light it up as if you was riding during the day,but we dont see the point in it,might as well go during the day if youre going to light the forest up,lol
