    Hello folks.

Just been directed here by a mate. I'm currently off the bike due to injury before Christmas but once I'm off the crutches I will be looking to hook up with folks to get me back on the bike again in a month or so. Only thing is I won't be able to do Sundays being a single dad with regular child commitments. Are you guys and gals looking to make Sunday the regular day or will there be other days?

Also, how -er- fit are you and will the rides be suitable for a recovering but keen offroader?

Hi Matt by the way - assuming it's the same one off Bikemagic... :)

    hi Qweeg
should have more idea after sunday, but it seems we will have different rides lead by different leaders each week
check out the forum and you'll see this as already started to evolve . I had a great night ride last night and meet two good riders. FSR's been busy as well.
    keep in touch
  • Queeg - I am indeed! Forgot to check it for ages (BM) so not posted for a while.

I think I may have to miss out on this one - we now gave four friends and a dog staying for the weekend!
Sounds like the wheels are in motion (pardon the pun) for more rides though so I WILL hook up at some stage.

Thanks Lee. Cool - As you can see, I'm new here but I'll look in regularly now. It's nice to see folks trying to get some rides organised down this way. Once I'm back in the saddle I can show you folks some nice routes a bit further west than Truro if you want to try something different.

Matt- the avatar was the giveaway, I should have realised. :)

    Q

Dont bring a DH bike !!!
  • Hi everyone, i just brought a gt i drive xcr 5 from halfords for £730, did i get a bargin? I used to ride about 100 miles per week, 10 years ago, but had bad accident and have only just managed to get strength in back to ride again...

do you know of any good off road trails, decents/ rough terrain in around the redruth area?

    cheers all.
  • Bolderz there is the great flat lode around the carn brea area.
  • and also the mineral tramways from scorrier to portreath or deveron! or tehidy woods have quite a few differnt rourtes through it and if you accidentally take the wrong route and follow the red river as i once did, you can end up half way to hayle!!

dont ofrget to look out for the next ride in the area as if its anything like todays it will be a good un!
