I picked up my bike from the shop today
New rech mech,cassette ,New chain and new pads. cost £197

Well I seem to be on the mend now and just rhode home from work in Gravesend, was an awesome ride and not to sound big headed but I managed a fair old pace, was quite shocked tbh.
So yeah, up for a ride either 2morrow or Sunday!0 -
What level do you fancy riding as my ten year old boys wants to come as long as it not too hard for him. Or me come to think of it. 0

The country park is quite nice but theres some parts your not supposed to ride, However we ride most of the surrounding woodland and only really stop there for a cuppa The surrounding woodland is quite lovely its not very hilly a few bits of single track a little techy section, an old mausoleam in cobham woods and a big twisty downhill bit to finish it is an ok ride for all levels with extra loops for the strong but my TEN year old boy comes along and he keeps up, with a cuppa the ride is normally around 2-2.5 hours 0

I'm definately in and will be there at 9, but by the time I find the place I may be a tiny bit late... I have you number though.
How are we getting out to Shorne, on the Gravesend road or up through Cobham?
Maybe in the future, if you fancied something not to hard but abit longer there is a route up through higham which goes onto a very long, very flat light mud/stone track which takes you into lower Gravesend, could then turn round and head back towards Medway on the Gravesend road and turn off into Shorne and come down that way.
Just a thought though.
And yeah whatever pace is good for me... I tend to like to admire to countryside more than I do anything else, except when I find a good DH bit, but can you blame me?!
Is it worth me bringing my camera do you think?
Oh, and will we still be riding even if it's snowing.. Or does that vary depingding on if it's 2mm thick or 2inches, perhaps 2ft! They're all just as fun.0 -
Im out no matter what rain,sun,snow,sleet or ice i need the practice as im no where near fit enough and i need the excercise.0

I am going to have to pull out, got lots of DIY I need to sort out tomorrow, and I can't justify spending another 2 hours + out on my bike.
Will defo make the next one though, as I really want to go around Shorne and Cobham.

Lol today was classic, was just a tad wet by the time I got in though...
The wrist is fine, slightly larger than normal and is very sore but I think it's just abit bruised, it looks normal now, but thats only because of the swelling
Will definately have to get the guys together and go around there again, perhaps when it's not so snowy and muddy.
I'll see about getting getting my mate from work and his lot involved, aswell as the guys off here... Reckon we could get about 20 of us together at some point..0 -
Im up for that and on a good day theres around 10 of us anyway so the more the merrier
