  • I'm more than up for any riding in and around the medway area if anyone fancies a ride. My normal haunt is blue bell hill and walderslade but due to a busted bottom bracket and knackered brakes... Not been for a while.
Gonna be fixing my bike up tomorrow and am wanting to get back into XC before I go DH racing next month.
Be good to try out me new brakes too!

Anyone going out this coming weekend by chance? Sunday preferably... (The 3rd)
  • Hi, i was looking at a trip down to cobham/surrounding woodland this weekend, (proibably satuarday or early sunday) and i had a few questions if anyone can help me out:
    1. Where is the best place to park? -> there seems to be a few 'rough' areas around
2.Which bike would be best to take (My 9" downhill bike (intense m3) or my xc bike (specci epic?)) as i have no idea what the ground/hills are like and which i would have most fun on (bear in mind the dh bike doesnt climb..atall really lol)

    Cheers
    Sam

Any of you guys got MSN or simmilar?
  • Neilhead, You still going out in Cobham Sunday if so I should be up for it this weekend.

Id say your spech theres a few hills but nothing really good enough for a dh bike. However loads of really nice singletrack and some good technical trails.

  • Doesn't look like it's going to snow but might be a bit windy and cold. I really must get something other than shorts to ride in :-)

  • No issues as I got out anyway and to be fair I wasn't that energetic today anyhow and would have held you back :-(.

Hope your wife is feeling better.

Bit late now but I'm available for an off road ride around Medway either during the week or at the weekend. Nothing too long, about 15 miles is good.

    Anyone?

Be coming from either Borstal or Pattens Lane, Rochester/Chatham

This ride of course being that I can get my new gear cable in and working, rather than my current method of works: A stone jammed in the front mech, leaving me with the whole of 4 gears! (Cable snapped- was only 3 months old.)
